I don’t normally tell this to people because I hear its disrespectful, but MAN I know exactly how you feel and i know what you mean.
I had to bust my skinny ass and put all my heart in to gaining every ounce of pure muscle to my frame and work hard for my athleticism while I watched bigger stronger kids do nothing and then choke during crunch time due to lack of heart and some balls.
The world belongs to those that have passion and are willing to haul ass.
Ha Ha, there is my rant, now time to bust some ass and take action!!!

Damn Strait!
Fitness and takeing care of your body is always a reality check. You get what you pay for, you earn what you learn and the rules do not bend or break. Ever. Fitness was a great way for me to learn that it’s not so much that life isn’t fair, it simply has it’s rules and you can follow them, or get crushed by them.
It’s not opressive to learn these “fact of life” it’s liberating becasue you can really discover your own strength and know you can make it on your own.
Very well written and to the point..
I train kids for high level hockey starting at peewee and I could not agree more.. Too much whining and your gone!!!

This article damn near brought a tear to my eye….. I couldn’t agree more. I, too, have fired clients – both adult and kid – and wanted to ban them to that basement gym that I used when I first got started.
I will never say that I’m the most well-built, strongest, or smartest out there training or training others, but I’ve busted my ass for every pound, whether on my frame or on my lifts, and it’s infuriating to hear and see people being such pansies. “I’d rather do leg extensions than the hang-cleans, Blake.” ‘I’m sure you would, but then you’d still be the fat, weak sloth you claim you don’t want to be anymore.’

I don’t tolerate any laziness or stinking attitudes in my gym, period!
I’m almost 58, and I’ll give the young bucks a run for their money still.
Yes, some of them can out-do me, but they can’t do it easily
I believe in out-working all of my clients.
Got a sign that says there is a fine for whining hanging behind the squat rack.
I love the hard-core stuff you come out with, it really challenges me!
