Strength Training in Your 40s: MAN STRENGTH
As we "get older", there comes a point in time where you must ensure that you are capable. The excuses of age, time and anything else are really all just BS. At the time of this writing I am creeping up on age 46. I don't chase the 1RM anymore but I still lift heavy with the basics. I make sure my heart is pumping with sleds and hill sprints. Some of you have airdyne bikes and rowers, this is excellent. Bodyweight Training is a must. You should always be able to squat, lunge, pull … [Read more...]
How to Get Stronger & Build Muscle in Your 40s
At the time of this writing, my body is on the mend since my knee surgery and blood clot last March, 2021. My knee is not 100% and as we get older, if you have had an injury or a surgery in the past, I believe it is safer to DOUBLE the length of "recovery time" to ensure you don't rush through the full healing process. So if the Doc says 6 months, I do not believe that in 6 months you have the green light to go ALL out. Instead, take months 6 - 12 to rebuild to greater heights. Use … [Read more...]

4 Kettlebell Garage Gym Workouts
I began using Kettlebells back in 2003. Those were some GOOD times. I didn't own a warehouse gym at the time so my training was in my garage or my buddy and I would train at parks and playgrounds with a few Kettlebells, a sandbag and a sled. I sometimes, I just want to go back to those simple times. And so I go to my garage or a playground where nobody is there. Solitude is great. The other day I had that feeling coming back again. I went outside to shovel first and get the body working. I … [Read more...]

Now, parents are afraid to send kids to a gym and we have everyone locked down in a "safety bubble" You see, many athletes took it upon themselves to do NOTHING during the COVID … [Read more...]
