moni aizik training

isreali special forces trainingApproximately 6 years ago I came across Moni Aizik as I was searching for reality based training methods. I was going through some troubles running into a particular group of people and it was bothering me BIG time. I was losing sleep at night because of it and the psychological effects were also bothering me and negativity affecting physically.

I became MORE intrigued with Moni’s methods when I became a father. I wanted to be ready for anything that may happen and be able to protect my family. I read up on Moni intensely and saw he was the REAL deal not just because of his videos, but because he had been IN THE TRENCHES from such a young age and for so many years.

My father had fought in the same war as Moni, The Yom Kippur war. My older brother was in The Israeli Special Forces and the local gym owner from the town my family is from in Israel was a PT instructor for Israeli Spec Ops. I KNEW about this unit and I knew they were THE BEST.

I attended one day from a 3 day course Moni held in NYC. The day was 12 hrs of intense training, perhaps the toughest 12 hr day of training I ever experienced. And, although this was 5 years ago I still remember the techniques I learned from that ONE day. Simple yet brutally effective.

In the audio interview below, with Moni Aizik, you will hear me bringing up some stories of violent encounters I have experienced. If I had known what I learned from Moni, back when the 8 – 10 thugs attacked me when I was younger, they would have been hurt, badly. I also would have psychologically turned the tables on them with what Moni had taught me.

Commando Krav Maga is something CRITICAL to my message to so many who follow my information because I have many followers who have children and / or don’t have an understanding of what to do in case something or someone violent was to encounter them.

After listening to my interview with Moni Aizik, please read the instructions below about your special opportunity to win a copy of Fight For Your Life, as Moni accidentally sent me TWO DVD sets rather than one.

Most people do NOT have to contend with the following scenario: “What if my aircraft goes down in Iraq and a terrorist puts an AK-47 to my face and I only have five seconds to decide my fate?”

As a US Naval Officer conducting flight operations over Iraq, I WAS because that was my REALITY. That question hounded me sometimes because I KNEW I was not prepared. When I got back to the states I was thankful that I never faced that scenario.

I thought I had two options. One was my piss my pants after seeing the business end of a gun and get beheaded on youtube. The second one was to do the “last act of defiance” and resist. There is just one thing about the last option. I was in charge of a 24 crewmember plane and while I am free to decide my fate, if I did that I would be signing my death warrant along with all my crew. I am sure the families of my crew would like other options.

I started learning a traditional martial art, and while it was excellent, I only had about one year stateside and I realized that, as good as it was, I would be in the same predicament if someone put a gun to my face. They say that we attract what we think about. It turns out that my chiropractor and best friend in California, Erik Haag, was about to start teaching CKM and I became one of his first students and I fell in love with CKM.

He then egged me on to become a CKM instructor and I had a chance to meet Moni. I can echo Zach’s statement. Moni will not only play with your mind to see what you got and bring out the best in you, he can look at you and IMMEDIATELY tell you what you are doing wrong so you can improve. I love when you ask him a question and before he replies he asks you, “Brutally honest?”, because what comes out after that is the TRUTH and if you listen you know you will improve.

Today I am confident that if I had to face the gun to the face scenario I have a fighting chance and a high probability to survive and protect those who are with me. Can you say the same? If the answer is no, check out one of his CKM instructor boot camps or join a class. Go ahead… you’ll thank me later.

Very respectfully,
Eric Guttmann

Awesome stuff Z!

Thanks for sharing bruddah!

Everyone should learn these techniques!

Better to be prepared than not!

@Ricardo, I’m sure you KNOW I will not be giving these DVDs away to someone who drops 1 or 2 sentences. This is serious stuff and I want someone who takes time and effort into their response or video.

World renowned krav maga battle tested and refined under fire and real world sceanarios. This has to continualy evolve or it would perish! Based on judo and jujitsu then I know it to be effective as I know both and have used both in real life situations. The break contact as soon as possible is combat proven not some dojo yoyo advice , to live to fight another day, the actual law of the jungle is .. dont get hurt. Never ever stop to admire your work and that goes hand in hand with breaking contact. Hit and run hit and run let the other guy wonder what the hell happened. These dvd sets are priceless . One technique just that one may save a life all you need is that one good one. And when the shtf… there is no time to think just react, then get the hell out of dodge.

Dondi @ 1:01 pm #

Krav maga, wow. i have heard of this fighting style before but i have never actually seen any of the principles. This would be an excellent weapon to defend your family with. Several years ago i was confronted by an attacker wielding a pocket knife. RUN! was the first thing that entered my mind. The next thought was the safety of my girlfriend and her children, the attacker was her ex. I stood my ground, fought him off as best as i could but unfortunately i caught one of his swipes to the side of my neck. I don’t remember much of what happened next but the next thing i do remember was standing in the bathroom looking at the cut which actually nicked my jugular. An ambulance ride later and i walked into the ER which was full of this dudes family. Turns out he stayed in the hospital for several days following our encounter. I was stitched up and sent home that night. Oh yeah, my jugular ruptured as soon as i laid down on the ER bed, lucky it lasted that long. Krav maga would have definitely made the difference in that instance.

My wife, not the same woman, despises guns and doesn’t want one in the house, even for protection. I always worry about what i would do in a crisis. Krav maga would definitely give me the confidence and ability to protect my loved ones from most any attack.

So, after all that, i love your website. Money is hard to come by at the moment so i only get to see the free stuff but it is awesome. The ideas i get from here have given me new personal bests on all my lifts while cutting over thirty pounds. Keep up the good work buddy.

P.S. dad’s RULE!

I am a Defensive Tactics / Firearms Instructor for a Police Department. I am also a Nationally Certified Homeland Security Instructor specializing in weapons of mass destruction and terrorism. I have attended Moni’s class for Law Enforcement as well as Royce Gracie’s class. Moni is the real deal. Not taking anything away from the Gracie family and their unbelievable contributions to the Ju-Jitsu world, However when instructing the most difficult audience to teach (Cops) you have to really KISS the subject matter (keep it simple and savage) If it (the technique) includes more than 3 steps, the average officer will make mistakes or may not get the technique right which may cause the officer to hesitate or make the mistake when it counts, when their life or the life of some innocent may be in jeopardy.
I have taken krav maga many years ago in NY, when I was with the NYPD with Rhon Mizrahi and feel in love with the simplicity of the system.
Thank you for this opportunity to share my experience.
I would like for the Good USN LT. Guttman to win this for my appreciation of his dedication to our great country.
Thank you
Adam Golden

Mateusz @ 2:18 pm #

Krav Maga. Sound familiar to me.
I was learning this fighting system for three years. I attended all possible seminars (if only I could afford it) trying raise my skills above average. I know what you mean saying “the toughest training”. “My” seminars were organized by people who are THE REAL DEAL. Most of them were in Polish Special Forces (e.g. GROM) others in Police striking groups (something like SWAT). We got our asses busted! I remember coming back from one seminar, which lasted over 6 hrs. I had to go through the most dangerous district in the city. Being totally exhausted!
Unfortunately I had to give up Krav Maga because I got my ribs broken on some additional Ju-Jitsu training. Guy weighted twice as much as me (literally!). He broke my ribs and I could not train for some time. But I will be able to come back to training soon.
And that’s why I need this DVDs. I want not only to be in shape, but I need to get my technique back. And re-set my mind back to being real PREDATOR! True Fighter!
Truly respectful

Sir

Let’s face it, these are dangerous times. And, to be honest, I only expect things to get worse. I don’t want things to get worse but the reality is it will. In this great country, which I truly love, we have the recipe for anarchy and disaster (and it could be right around the corner): high unemployment, low quality food, corrupt government, greed, terrorist within our borders plotting and working against us every second that goes by, corporation control, countries who hate us having nukes, subpar education, depression, desperation, and the list goes on. We have to be ready for confrontation of any and all kinds, whether it is one random thug or all our war.

I am actually a relative calm (at this point in my life) and peaceful person. I know most people around me are struggling and many are hurting. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and respond to evil, rude, angry, and/or selfish people with kindness, mercy, love and compassion. That being said I know this process will not always work. And I also know danger can come looking for me at any time. I want to be ready for it. But I know I am not. I mean, I can fight but that is not the same as knowing how to survive a brutal attack.

I love MMA and watching UFC but I also realize that even though the guys in that sport are great “fighters” and are in exceptional shape they are actually training the opposite way one needs to train in order to fight for your (or someone else’s) life. UFC has so many rules limiting effective moves so as to protect the fighters from getting maimed or dying. These are the moves you would actually need in a real fight. They train not to eye gauge or punch in the back of the head or kick someone in the balls when in real life in a real fight you might just have to do something this extreme to save yourself. And, of course, MMA does not cover disarming people of a gun or knife.

Many of times I will be walking into a store with my 9 yr old daughter and see a group of thugs just hanging around the entrance. Usually they are just harmless but I can not help but think if they started crap with me and I had to protect my daughter would I be able to efficiently and effectively do so. I am always ready to roll but that does not mean I will always be victorious.

Zach, I want to learn from the best and if you say Moni Aizik is the best then I want to learn from him. You taught me a better way to train and eat, let this guy train me in a better way to protect myself and my loved ones. Then I can in turn train my family so that they can protect themselves if I am not around. Please consider me for the free give away. Thanks for all the free info and that’s for the post.

Michael

Hey Zac,

unfortunately i am not like many of your readers. For one, i am a single male with wife or children. Secondly, i come from the land down under, which compared to America, Israel and any other country has it’s own special context for how we deal with ‘rough situations’. Lastly, i am also a dedicated strength athlete and personal trainer (probably not so different to thers here, but maybe so in the fact that most dont expect weight trainers to be afraid in nasty situations).

Well for one, i am not ashamed to admit that many times in my life i have been afraid. Not just from physical encounters, but also emotional ones too. Growing up as a fat kid never presented problems when it came to physical abuse but the emotional abuse did take it’s tole. Now im not looking for sympathy as i know that there are perhaps many of your readers who have been through similar situations. I have also learnt a long time ago that complaining about your situation achieves nothing. The real reason why i am here is so that you can hopefully address one of my fears. You see, many guys/gals are afraid of fights. Not to sound too pig-headed, but i am not one of those. To lose a fight doesnt scare me either, there will always be someone bigger and better than you out there IMO. What REALLY scares me is the fact that if one day i am out with friends or even family (e.g. my sister, who is similar in age) and someone (or in the case of my hometown, many) try to start trouble, i will be unable to protect them. We all live in a dog-eat-dog world, where fair fights are far and few in-between, but the thought of something happening to my best mates or worst, my loved ones, scares the hell out of me. The town i live in is considered a pretty rough as guts place where group bashings aka 15 on 3, are commonplace. I am not aggressive Zac, nor do i ever intend on being. But with your help, i want to know that if the situation arises where i have no choice, then i CAN do something to at least protect the ones i love.

Yours in health and strength,

Jared c.

Hey ZACH!
Man i want this kick ass DVD set, to benefit myself in the usage of these martial arts techniques and also my long growing list of clients. I have been around and involved in martial arts and combat sport my whole life!(my dad is a life time martial artist and my grandad was an old school prize fighter back in SCOTLAND!) Adding more weapons to my arsenal and giving all i have to eveyone that invests in training with me over here in AUS!

My family has a big military background. And getting these techniques down and using them in my classes, bootcamps, one on one training sessions and also BODY WEIGHT seminars i am doing with groups would be unreal! I feel all of the people i work with can and WILL BENEFIT!

It would be great to recieve this set! I would take ACTION and put it all to use ASAP!! Its the way i ROLL NOW!

COMMITTMENT TO SPEED!

See you in JERSEY IN OCTOBER!! PSyCHED BROTHER!

I would really like to own this dvd set. I’ve always heard that krav is the best martial art you can learn. I would love to incorporate this into my regular training. Thanks Zach!

John @ 10:02 am #

I looked into Krav Maga years ago and never did anything about it…

I was born in North Jersey, and my dad passed away when I was two. Mom never remarried and we moved to the midwest a few years later. I never had that male role model around and had to figure out how to be a man alone…still working on it in my 40′s ; ) It sucks to learn to shave, etc. on your own. I didn’t have that male figure to discuss the trials and threats you get in life. Funny thing how you adapt and get stronger though.

I never learned how to defend myself, but I was good at talking smack and bluffing…until someone called my bluff in 7th grade. After getting popped in the mouth, I just moved forward with my head down and started swinging. Friends used to fight in high school and I caught the bug when I had to nut up or shut up on a teen dance floor. I won because I hit first and was athletic enough to finish it. Looking back, I was pretty sloppy as I could really only fight from rage and hitting first.

I’m now a dad with two kids (girl-14 and boy-12) that I’m raising with my wife of 17 years.. I see the error of my ways as a youth and want to teach my kids to efficiently defend themselves, control their emotions and see the potential dangers in situations. My son has taken karate and did some jiu jitsu, but I want to teach him how to be efficiently effective without rolling on the ground or needing the room to throw a step through round house. I also need to teach my wife and daughter to protect themselves even though they may be outsized in most situations. It sucks when you’re not around to protect the girls in your life. Also, I’m still pretty athletic, but I can see the young bucks sizing me up…we were once them and that’s what scares me…the young invincible, try anything twice mentality. Some young buck actually shouldered me last week. Can you believe the lack of respect these days? A man is walking with his family and some young dude shoulders him to “show him”. I just kept walking…

I know if I am fortunate enough to get the dvd’s that my family would be very grateful and benefit tremendously. I believe I will be equipped with the correct knowledge to step up to bat and lead my family and our future generations in being safe, yet secure in our protection skills. I think I’ll sleep a little better too ; )

This past weekend my family was visiting my sister and her family in Tenino, WA. On Saturday, a man raped and murdered an elderly woman and was caught with her body in his pickup trying to dispose of her. He killed the woman on the exact bike path my nephew and niece have been riding on all summer. The man was caught directly next to my sisters home! 9 months ago another woman went missing-the police are looking into a connection. Needless to say, we are all concerned and want to learn methods to protect ourselves. It becomes vital to take proactive preparations to allow the Tenino citizens to resume enjoying the outside and not let this criminal upset the normal flow of activity in this quant, small town. I do not want my family to stop exercising outdoors because of this, but do want all of us to prepare ourselves so we can resume our lives safely.
Respectfully, Tera Naslund Please access the entire story via the web.

Tera Naslund @ 12:35 pm #

This past weekend my family was visiting in Tenino WA. An elderly lady was attacked and lost her life on the exact bike path my nephews and niece have been riding on all summer! Needless to say, this have caused much panic throughout this small, quaint town. It is our hope that by giving the citizens of Tenino some proactive preparations, this town can recover quickly and resume using the great outdoors without fear of future attacks. Respectfully, Tera Naslund

I really enjoyed that 20 min interview. I have watched for the last 6 monthes the ckm street survival and knife disarms. This is great stuff. I am a over the road truck driver and have been in many bad situations that I did not know what to do. I could run. But I also have a wife and 5 kids , I wanted to be prepared to protect them as well. I drive this 18 wheeler 14 hrs 5 days a week. Every night before I go to bed I watch my ckm dvds. It is a very imprtant part of my life. Thank you Moni for all of your help on learning this training. Sincerly D. Reppuhn.

william @ 11:41 pm #

zach, i have been reading and learning from your site for the last several months. i found your site surfing the web one nite as my current wife was recovering from major surgery. i have been through the perfect financial storm for the last several years. after a very bitter divorce in which all my kids( all adopted ) stayed with me i started seeing a lady who had been my good friend for years and after a few months asked her to marry me and added 2 more children to my brood( 5 total all girls). my wife became sick and had to go on disability, i was a victim of identity theft , i am self employed and my business is down 50%. soon after my wife had to have surgery and it was condicered pre-exisiting and coverage was limited. she almost died on me 3 times during this time. her uncovered medical put me massively in debt along with her unable to work. i now work 2 jobs to cover and am going to school. my workout time is limited and that is where you come in. i have chin /pushup bars at my shop along with kettle bells and a few big rocks. that is where i do my workouts. for example the other day i did clean/squat /press with the large rock for several sets then zercher squats/row/ press and ended up with tgu with kettelbell and chins. i tend to work in burst like the bulgarians so it is not unusual i work out several time during the day. thats why i like your varied ideas. i am in my 50′s and value a functionbal body. i have always been fascintated with israel and the jewish experiance there. i remember watching “exodus” when i was young and followed the 6day war and other battles they have had. several weeks ago i was surfing the web looking for traiing ideas and saw an article of krav maga and began looking at that. so when yu add all those issues together it is more than coincidence for me to be interested in learning this art. i have 5 daughters and a wife to take care and in this world a man needs a full tool box to survive life. ,my shop is not in the best area of town and the other job and school are at night so the threat is there as well. i also would like to use the program to teach my daughters and wife some basic issues as well. i should also mention i am in recovery and a major key for me is to keep active and and learning new things . this would serve me well as well. in any event thanks for listening and your e-mails and training ideas are always welcome. “when i pray to god for strength he gives me challenges to make me stronger”

Des Morgan @ 4:59 am #

I enjoyed the interview very much. I have been looking for a good school in this art here in Perth, Western Australia for some time. This is not a art that is very well known over here. I love the no nonsense approach Moni’s art has and I would love to learn it. I am not interested in competition martial arts.
I don’t care if I win the DVD’s or not, I just like to here about this art and if the cost was affordable, I would have no problem purchasing the DVD’s.

Keith Fine @ 6:11 pm #

Well Zach,I’ve been strength training and participating in martial arts my whole life. After years of following insane training methods and fighting systems that just weren’t practical for defense, I’ve come to adopt a lot of your training ideas into my training for myself and my clients, with great results I might add I would like to learn more about the no nonsense fighting system of Krav Maga.

August 15, 2010

Emily @ 12:01 am #

My reasons are the same as yours, Zach. I want to be able to defend my own life and my sons (two and half months and 17 months old) if (heaven forbid) I ever need to. It’s crazy because tonight driving home from my parents house in the rain, I was just thinking about how much of a sick and twisted world we live in. Just minutes down the road from their house there have been three instances that scare the **** out of me (and I think about every time we drive by): one was when a body was found rolled up in carpet not too far off of the interstate, two was when a woman was abducted and raped at the gas station right down the road, and three was when two summers ago a dead body was found just steps from the end of my parents driveway… Things like this really make me realize how much I NEED to learn how to FIGHT like hell for my life and the ones that I love if I need to. That’s why I want to win this DVD set.

HUGH @ 5:45 pm #

I took a bit of a look at this guys background as I have heard discouraging stuff about ckm before, but take a look at the wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moni_Aizik and decide for yourself. Yeah I want free shit but I don’t believe bullshit marketing, nor do I think owning a couple of cds is going to save my life. Whats going to save my life is good old fashioned pair of balls and some grit.

Regards Hugh

Hugh – Hey bro, I have met Moni and attended his courses, they are FAR and away anything near “bull shit”

I would also say regarding “hearing bad things” about him, such is the world of the internet.

Research my name and I’m sure there are plenty of haters, in fact, haters started on me YEARS ago when I was training wrestlers from my garage, the haters were ironically fitness professionals.

When my brother was in The Israeli Army he was unable (and still does not) to discuss what he was doing while in the military.

Will a DVD – CD save your life? NO. Can you apply the methods if you study them AND practice them? Hells yea.

Will being ballsy and gritty save your life? NO. It will probably get you killed. I am unsure how many violent situations you’ve been in but as Moni stated, some of these attackers simply kill even AFTER they get what they want (your money, etc.).

Hugh, you are unfortunately wrong my friend, I can always respect well justified points and arguments, but negativity and comments that are false are not something I agree with.

–Z–

PS: I also have met a few guys who have been through Moni’s courses, several of them were special forces soldier in the Marines and Army and said that Moni’s course was the most in depth training they ever received regarding reality based fighting.

matt @ 1:06 pm #

I have to agree with Hugh. Moni is unfortunately, a fraud. He has never been a commando, nor has he ever trained with Imi. He has never trained commando’s for the Israeli military…. Very sad…

HUGH @ 4:16 pm #

Zach I have to say I respect the fact that you didn’t censor my concerns. I am very impressed. I have no doubt that the CDs may contain information of value and useful techniques I was calling into question his stated reputation and marketing techniques. I believe the difficulty regarding krav maga is there is no one overall governing body and many organisations lay claim to be the original. My thoroughness in research prior to forming an opinion dosen’t make me wrong it makes me informed and prepared. I am not a negative person or a hater but instead I raised this concern because I associate your name with honesty and credibility something which I do not associate with Moni.

Regards and Respect

Hugh

admin @ 8:03 pm #

Hugh, MUCH respect brother, thank you. I have trained with Moni and there were attendees there who were trained in Krav Maga and Moni REALLY exposed the weakness in Krav Maga and showed the difference between CKM and regular KM

There was a pro kick boxer there and MANY military personalle, several of which were hand to hand trainers in various branches of the military and they were all blown away by the methods

I wouldn’t promo something I don’t believe in.

Thanks for your comments, it is easy to kill comments but with the internet there is so many sides to the coin, what I reviewed comes from my experience with Moni

For those rdng. I also put my faith in Tony Blauer and Tim Larkin, excellent sources and I plan to train with them when they come to the area as well.
