Training heavy on a weekend and amped up to move some heavy iron.

I love the iron and have always been drawn to it.

Machines never excited me to kill it, rusty barbells and dumbbells always felt best in my hands.

Other things I love to rip into:

- sandbags

- tractor tires

- anvils

- thick ropes

- stones

- Russian Kettlebells

Hardcore gyms might be dying, but hardcore training is alive and well in edison, NJ at The Underground!

Tell me where and how you’re keeping it hardcore, old school and Underground by posting your comments below.

The warmin’ up is done, it’s time to start training….

There’s more to come this week….they are all filmed and edited….so, the changes for next week, I’m gonna clean up the language.

I get a little too excited when I’m around the iron and tend to drop one too many S and F bombs!

Kill it!

PS: I was almost the guy who made excuses for not ebing able to afford this seminar, or that info product – lucky for me, I never was, and because of that, my life is starting to kick a**, allowing me to create the life of my dreams.

My old buddy, who always made the excuses for not affording this, not traveling here or there, well, he trains clients from 5 or 6 am till 8 at night!

Follow my system and don’t be “that guy”….

The System is HERE, the date is November 1st and 2nd….

I have been getting back to my roots lately, even with my time crunched workouts, I’m hitting the underground bodybuilding methods and it’s paying off big time.

It’s amazing how quickly you can add muscle and strength when you’re putting together the right formula.

Most of the time, as you know, my workouts are rockin’ at warp speed.

I’ve been finding ways to mix bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman and gymnastics type movements into one pot.

I guess you always go back to your roots :)

I was looking at my current strength on certain lifts, such as squats and benching and saw that my numbers were VERY big back when I was bodybuilding.

I squatted 455 for sets of 6 – 10, squatted 315 for 20 – 25 reps, squatted 225 for 45 – 50 reps. My bench was at 275 for sets of 6 – 8. But, now I am deadlifting 550 lbs, farmer walks with 200 lbs per hand, dragging sleds that weigh almost 400 lbs and much more.

Now the brutal combination of past and current knowledge is meshing together.

Today I had a skinny guy stop into the gym….after he left the gym next door.

The other day, another skinny guy who confessed to being a former inmate stopped by as well.

I’m starting to worry who the heck will be stopping by next.

The former inmate confessed he was way bigger in “the pen”. I bet he was….eating all day, push ups and sit ups every day, hitting the weight pile almost daily. What can you do in the weight pile?

Nothing fancy…..I saw what the prisons have: benches, barbells, dumbbells, dip bars, pull up bars, squat racks. These are the essentials.

Today’s drop in was a guy I have seen for YEARS as I used to train at the gym next door. He has not changed in about 7 years while training 4 days a week. He was pissed off that he still weighs 135 lbs.

I bet if I looked at how he ate it would be pretty poor, with not enough quality food, skipping breakfast, no post workout meals and enough food to keep a 5 year old kid satisfied.

Training mistakes? He said he squats and deadlifts – are these magic exercises? Hmmmmm, they’re supposed to work like magic, but, if your entire program is not organized well, squats, deadlifts and all the other top notch exercises won’t do jack sh*t for you.

So, here we have two guys in frustration….both skinny and unable to get bigger, stronger or more muscular.

One guy has been struggling for what I know to be 7 years…..at least.

Soon I’ll post photos of a once 88 lb. weakling who began training with us 2 years ago, and now weighs 125 lbs. 125 may seem like nothing to you, but, that is a whopping 37 lbs of added weight, much of it muscle.

Stay tuned!
