TWO things you should NEVER deny or neglect if you want to be strong as hell:
1) Grip Strength
2) Ab Training
When I first began training without the use of wrist and hand straps my grip was weak as hell. I used to do chin ups and every pulling motion with straps to take the grip OUT of the picture. BIG mistake. Having weak hands makes EVERYTHING else weak, or, vice versa. A mighty grip makes everything else stronger.
For abs, I prefer two movements over others: anything with the power wheel and any variation of leg raises. This doesn’t mean I never perform sit up variations, ab exercises on the rings, etc. I certainly do, BUT, I have found that using the power wheel with hand walks and ab roll outs are tops, there ain’t no denyin’ that bad ass training tool.
Check the Video Below:
That was the finisher from the workout of the previous videos, where you saw Gorilla Training and old school odd object lifting.
Drop a comment below with your favorite grip and ab exercises / workouts. I’m psyched to see the responses!

Complexes are downright brutal. I use them with barbells, dumbbells, sandbags and kettlebells.
You can use them with stones as well. The bottom line is don’t be afraid to go heavy with complexes either.
They put on muscle AND improve conditioning, but, most people fear them because they are NASTY once you get going with them. Your muscles feel like they’re going to explode and your grip gets a helluva workout from the constant movement of the barbell in your hands.
Check out this video of some Dumbbell Complexes adding The Grip 4orce to make it even more challenging.
At least once a week you should be tossing in some form of a complex using any of the training tools:Here’s a tip if you’re busy as hell like I am.

Lots of people often ask for my recommendation on how to set up a home gym, especially when limited on space, funds and time.
Well, as you can see, I just cranked out some nasty Sandbag Complexes with The Underground Sandbag.
Being in a new home myself AND not being close to my gym I’ll be setting up a nasty corner of Underground Equipment by simply using a Russian Kettlebell and The Underground Sandbag.
In my office you’ll find a Power Wheel, Jump Stretch Band and some Grip Training Devices.
With fresh air and the beach near by I will also by hitting more running and mountain bike riding. My runs will be on the streets, the sand and the trails of the nearby state parks which are HUGE and offer plenty of odd objects for lifting as I make my way through the trails.
I love training with free weights, but, with my lack of space I’ll be forgoing any traditional home gym equipment here and will save my powerlifting for my time at The Underground Strength Gym in Edison, NJ.
When you get a chance, try the sandbag complex I cranked in the video above.
1A) Sandbag High Pulls
1B) Sandbag Bent Over Row
1C) Sandbag Zercher Squats
1D) Sandbag Back Squats
1E) Sandbag Reverse Lunges
1F) Sandbag Good Morning
Before I attacked the sandbag complex I cranked a bunch of reps of the clean, press & squat combo.
Give it a shot yourself and get the bucket ready!

Yoooooo Dudes! OK, now that my blog post title sounds semi pornographic, it’s time to get BUSY!
Here is part II of me gettin’ CRAZY and High Reppin’ after going heavy on the overheads.
I cranked 3 sets of the incline dumbell benching and recline rope rowing NON stop, making it 6 sets non stop. I was insanely pumped and the non stop action forces the upper body into a whole new territory of fatigue, lactic acid build up and mental toughness.
If you wanna get crazier with it, you can try doing everything for time rather than sets, which a lot of old school bodybuilders did in the Golden Era, back in the 70′s.
So instead of 3 non stop sets of each, set the clock for 15 minutes and get max rounds of the military press for sets of 5 and pull ups with mixed grips for sets of 5.
The dumbbell benching and recline rope rowing could be cranked for 8 minutes but for higher reps, try 10 reps each set for 10 minutes on the clock. You are gonna BIG time send your body into a NEW world of muscle fiber attacking!
Wait till you see Part III, the grand finale of this workout, it was brutal and I am gonna be back with more tomorrow!
Till then, be awesome and kick some SERIOUS ass!
Peace!

My friend and fellow Underground Strength Coach, Dominik Feischl, sent me this video after I sent him a rare video of training from Europe which was filmed in the early 70′s.
He was inspired to say the least, so he put his training on video to share with you below…
Dominik is on our Panel of Experts at http://UndergroundStrengthCoach.com
Feel free to ask him questions on the forum, this guy has some amazing knowledge that the world needs to learn about!

I have always been impressed with men who posses strong hands.
Strong hands radiate through the entire body, making everything else strong.
Being strong f**ing rules, plain and simple.

Wow, on my birthday, an old friend and a BEAST, Johnny Wasiscko stopped by the gym to say Happy B Day. I asked him what’s new & he said preppin’ for strongman comps and the Arnold Grip Contest….
It was the day before the Lost Secrets of Strength Development, so, I said sh*t, let’s train and kill it w/a grip contest.
This got wild and we really got carried away breaking all the rules and doing everything that made NO sense at all! These are the best and funnest workouts!
Enjoy and post your comments below!
I’ve said it a million times before…
