I used to work with a guy at a fitness center.

He was an awesome trainer and he had big goals.

He wanted to open his own facility.

He left the place we worked at and worked for another guy.

He was the “head” trainer there.

He was super reliable, excellent with his clients and was seriously the dream employee / trainer that any biz owner could hope for.

he kept talking to me about the “5 year plan”.

but every year we met up, it was still a 5 year plan. This was 10 years ago, and he still works for other people.

He always made an excuse for not having the funds, not being able to travel, not being the right time.

He works at 5 or 6 in the morning, finishes training clients around 8 pm at night.

I didn’t have the funds either, but I found a way to get the funds.

I flew out to Chicago to learn training methods when I didn’t have the funds, PLUS, I suck at flying. I threw up on the plane, threw up in the cab ride to my hotel, and threw up some more in my hotel room!

Lucky for me, one of the guys there gave me a ride home, a 16 hr car ride home!

I was gonna rent a car regardless.

I invested in a mastermind group that was 8 grand this past week.

I understand this investment will be a return of probably 100 times or greater, I did it and went for it.

I wasn’t “that guy” w/all the excuses.

I own my own gym, I own my own internet biz – things were never perfect and it was never “the right time” – things are still not perfect or right, and I am making plenty of mistakes, but, I don’t work from 6 am – 8 pm for someone else.

Now, if you wanna be that guy…or even that girl….fine wth me, it’s up to you. Keep making excuses….

Or, take advantage of 2 things I am currently offering…

1) My certification course

2) The Hang out with Zach Business Building and Training Course

I found a way to make it happen, so does every successful person out there. They find a way.

If you keep finding excuses, we will likely never cross paths.

Hope to see you soon,

Sincerely,

–Z–

What did you want to do when you were a kid?

a lawyer?

a doctor?

a teacher?

a professional athlete?

an astronaut?

When you were a kid, you had a dream, and then you let being an adult get in the way, so you stopped dreaming, and listened to everyone else tell you that you need to be “realistic” – those bastards :)

When I was 13 all I could think of was working out.

When I was 15 or 16 I a sooooo freakin’ enthralled in working out that I knew I wanted to own a gym.

My Dad would take me to gyms around NJ just so I could check them out, and he would even look through business classifieds and we found pro bodybuilder, Rich Gaspari, selling his gym!

Then, I remember a gym in the area and it was old school, hard core and nice and small. The owner was burning out and man I wanted to buy that bad boy. Not long after, it burned down…no accident my friends :)

Today, I’m livin’ my dream, and leaving my full time job.

I never saw a kid say he wanted to own a gym or be a strength coach, but man, those kids don’t know what they’re missing :)

I’m still a kid, and livin’ the dream baby!

what about you, %$firstname$%?

Kill it!

Dudes, check it out, another inside look at my office….

Does that look fun?

It’s bad ass I tell you. On this day I let some of the guys go in and train extra, on their own, a little freedom, sometimes, it gets ugly, but nothing that will kill them.

Notice there is no suit and tie required! ha ha

Kill it!

If you’re in a slump, don’t worry, I’ll help you step it up and make your way out of it.

It’s mind power, and you and ONLY you can control your mind. The mind must be trained, just like your body, if you want it to be strong, powerful, mighty and fierce.

I can relate to you, trust me, I have heard many tell me I can’t do “it”, and what I’m doing won’t work, etc, etc.

Other “Big” names try to stop me, trash talk me and slow me down.

Sorry, there will be NONE of that.

I’m picking up momentum and the best thing I want to share it. I don’t want to keep it all to myself. There are no secrets. What I have learned was passed down to me by others, or, I learned through experience, in the trenches, kicking ass the only way I know how.

Stay tuned, I have some ass kicking stuff coming your way.

A new e course, more Underground Strength Coach Certifications, motivational videos from yours truly and much, much more! Hold on tight, we’re gonna Kill it…..TOGETHER!

So, you wake up every morning, same routine, same time, same breakfast, same…..

You know the routine, dontcha?

Well, let me make you feel a bit uncomfortable for a moment, and uncomfortable is good, it’s REALLY good.

Because when you get comfortable, you start letting life slip through your finger tips…

Not good.

I wake up every morning and fall asleep every night with a vision, a vision that gives me chills.

I want people to do what they love, I want people to make a living following their passion.

For some, strength training may have nothing to do with their passion, but, I have many people reading my Blog for the inspirational factor. That’s great, because as long as I can help push someone to that edge where they follow their passion, then I’m on the right path :)

I watched the movie, ‘We are Marshall’ last night. It’s not the first time, I have watched it before, but things have changed since that “first time.” I am on a new mission, a new path…I’m blazing a trail like a run away freight train.

What am I blazing a trail? I have this deep down gut feeling that people should be able to do what they love, and there is no reason to go through life doing things you don’t want to do or don’t love to do.

Now it’s time for some action, wouldn’t you agree?

Kill it!

–Coach Z–

P.S. - I’ll be announcing the next date for The upcoming Underground Strength Coach Certification. I’ll be accepting 12 people, but, I’ll roll if only 1 is accepted. Too many cry babies and whiners out there who want this and that for free or for less, without effort, or who cry when it’s not catered for their way. Sorry, this is NOT for everyone.

Here’s what you’ll experience at The USC Ceritification (Click HERE).

Man, I am getting fired up, maybe too much.

When you do something you love, there should be no excuses, no complaining and complete animal like energy!

I have done things here and there that I truly was not into, and I could tell, the energy just wasn’t there.

But, if you have committed to entering a contest, then you must step it up and get rid of the mind games.

There is no tomorrow, there is no being tired, there is no excuse making….or…….the competition will eat you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It’s do or die.

Step up, be aggressive, grab life by the balls, go for the grand slam, not the lame ass double!

This is why I can not emphasize enough how much you must train your mind, not just your body. I know guys WAY stronger than me but I’ll kill them in a workout because I don’t care about the pain and fatigue that is happening during the workout.

Do not overnalayze, just fucking do it, period!

I don’t get angry too often, but, I am pretty pissed off.

I want to see people do their absolute best, because I understand that “there is no tomorrow”.

Kill it,

–Coach Z–

jonny hinds pole climb

On my one hand, I can count those who have REALLY influenced me in training AND in life.

Without hesitation, Jonny Hinds is one of those people. I connected with Jon maybe 2 or 3 years ago by phone, after Pat Miletich, the MMA Coach and former UFC Champion, sent me his way.

I would spend over an hour on the phone talking about physical culture and nutrition every time we chatted. We would philosophize about life and exchange cool training and life stories and experiences, and, I’ll admit, Jonny has many more cooler stories than I do :) ha ha

You have probably also seen me promote very few things that are not my own creations. The equipment Jonny has developed blows my mind and kick ass physically as well as spiritually. Sounds crazy, but if you’ve done bodyweight training you understand that it heals the mind AND body, something I am BIG on.

jonny hinds power wheel crawl

Two of my favorite tools are his kettlebells and the power wheel, although I am also quite the avid fan of his various weighted jump ropes (which I have ALL of them), the jungle gym and the power push up.

The conversation you are about to hear is jam packed with golden nuggets of awesome strength and conditioning information. You’ll love it. From bodyweight training, healing your injuries through Eischen’s Yoga, REAL core training, the NFL combine and tons more.

Please let others know about this Blog and this audio so we can spread the powerful info unleashed in this audio interrogation with my homeboy, Jonny Hinds. Enjoy!

P.S.Get the power wheel HERE. I have spoken about the powers of hand walking, and the incredible core and ab training you can get from this awesome training tool. You will love it when you get it, I know it!

tyroneflip2.JPG

Yesterday I took a ride a to a tire yard, off in the back woods of a small town in NJ.

There were tires upon tires from all types of trucks, tractors and who the heck knows what else and where else.

I snagged a small tire around 300 lbs. or so. We needed something in between our 150 and 600 lb. tires.

The irony was that Kurt followed me to the tire yard with his Dad’s pick up truck. The same pick up truck we used 5 years ago to get my used gym equipment from a barn in NJ! I still remember that barn.

There were 5′ high piles of rusty deep dish ivanko and york plates, roosters roaming around, an old Harley Davidson motorcycle, bails of hay and a rusty pull up – dip bar combo.

I left with about one thousand pounds in 45, 35 and 25 lb weights plus the dip – pull up bar.

The Underground movement was beginning for me, it was the start of something BIG, something Bigger than I ever dreamt of, and, little did I know it would lead me to doing something I love for a living! Can’t beat that, can ya?

How many people do what they truly love for a living? Not too many, unfortunately.

What ever happened to the pursuit of happiness? Does that only begin at age 55 when you retire from your 9 – 5 job? Or is 6 am – 10 pm? Here on the East coast, people work like slaves, it’s insane.

I just spoke about this craziness with Jonny Hinds.

This is why I am taking two vacations this summer. I am pumped for both of them!

What’s insane is that everyone laughed when they saw the way I was training athletes – uisng tires, sandbags, old / used equipment, stones, playgrounds, etc.

Now I have a kick ass gym filled with those insane “training tools” and we can’t argue with these powerful results, that’s for sure!

Heck, give me a barbell, some dumbbells and I’ll take care of the rest with bodyweight – just watch and see the powerful results I’ll create!

What’s my point here? It’s two fold…

1) Do you have a passion or deep love for something? If so, make it happen by creating it into a business.

2) Training doesn’t have to be fancy, never should be if you want the real world results I always talk about.

It’s time you gave yourself the opportunity to make something big happen for you, don’t you agree?

Here’s the tail end of some of the crew tearing it up at The Underground Strength Gymnasium, in good ol’ Edison, NJ.

Here’s the workout these beasts endured…

After our Underground warm up, a powerful blend of mobility, calisthenics, bands, movement prep and stability work, they attacked the following:

1A) zercher squats 5 x 4 – 6 reps
1B) mixed push ups for active recovery 5 x 15 reps

2A) 1 arm dumbbell clean & press 3 x 6
2B) weighted pull ups w/mixed grips 3 x max reps

3) jump rope x 5 minutes

ya gotta move, and this is why if you ever saw our warm up, it could kick the crap out of the majority of people who walk through our doors.

We build our athletes up to this training and push hard for strength endurance, power endurance and overall work capacity and mental toughness.

The jump rope at the end is awesome! Jumping rope develops foot speed, leg power, ankle stability and improves wind, BIG time!

Listen to the music blasting, the guys having a blast while training, the atmosphere and another great day in “the office.”

Kick ass and stay strong, more is coming :)

–Z–

P.S. – Wanna learn my methods for developing kick ass training programs for athletes, doing what you love and bypassing all my mistakes? Watch our apprentice video and e mail me if you’re serious about getting in the door. SERIOUS inquiries only, as always :)
