Here's a good ol' Saturday where some guys are on the Trap Bar Deadlift and others are on the Sumo Deadlift. Again, it all depends WHY they are doing what they're doing.
The Summer time for MOST sports is the off season or pre season. The timing of each deadlift variation is crucial. But, on the flip side, we don't get TOO carried away, which in turn only develops fragile athletes from both a physical and mental standpoint.
Athletes need to believe in themselves and FEEL strong & tough. Treat them like special snowflakes and they will perform like snowflakes.

Mindset plays a VERY crucial role in performance.
When an athlete starts to over think everything or perhaps the Coaches overthink everything, it backfires on the athletes.
We must still train to be dangerous in mind, body & spirit.
