Many make the mistake thinking that to train for strength you must do so exclusively. Or if trying to build muscle, you must focus on the time under tension principle.

But, to make gains in strength....

To pack on muscle....

You MUST be mentally tough.

You need to have a high pain tolerance, you must have commitment even when the desire to train isn't fully on fire.

When I train, I love to blend various qualities together and unless you're a powerlifter or bodybuilder, then you MUST push to pursue greater mental toughness even at the expense of NOT following a perfectly organized, technically sound training program.

Notice the portion of my workout I film for you and how I combine 2 exercises that most would say you should never combine together.

I think differently and refuse to follow the norms. That goes for training and life.

Not ALL my workout was recorded here.

In this video I explain:

- My thoughts on training the mind, NOT just the body

- How the Underground Strength Coach Cert is evolving and how I've helped several hundred Coaches kick more ass

- Why I train like a Wrestler

- Pause Squats

- How I improve wrist flexibility for power cleans

- How I warm up

- Why I'm not a "technique kinda guy"

- Training differently as a Father and a Man

  1. Get back to the roots! Coaches Coach! Just like in Rocky, “Fighters Fight!”
I love being in the mix and slinging weights. I have been fighting an upper respiratory bug for the past couple days so my training is limited. Especially big lifts cause I start coughing something crazy. But I can still crank bodyweight.
    Good Stuff!

    1. I hear ya, brotha, you can Never be someone or something that you are truly Not!

I feel best in rough & tumble training area, a barn, the outdoors, hard workers around me and a simple life
