It was the Winter of 1989.......
I had asked my parents for a bunch of bodybuilding books that I had read multiple times already. How? I would sit on the floor at the B Dalton book store inside menlo park mall and read ALL of the books.
But still, I was obsessed and had to have them all. Reading them a few times wasn't enough for me. The photos inside these books inspired me to train harder and get bigger.
Little did I know or could I ever imagine that decades later, I would become close friends and would work with The Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig).
Enjoy this Video as I take you on a trip down memory lane......
After recording this video, I remember packing up all my old books and VHS tapes of American Muscle Magazine and giving them to a younger kid at the gym. I thought he was serious and I was a young teacher trying to help as many youngsters as possible.
Not long after, this kid disappeared and supposedly stopped lifting. I felt like an a-- after giving away so much of acquired book collection.
The lesson back then, which was 1999, and it still rings true today, people do NOT respect things that are given to them for free.
If you don't earn it or pay for it, you have no skin in the game.
Here is a video with voice over from The Ultimate Warrior along with photos from Super High Intensity Bodybuilding.
I hope you enjoyed these videos and photos.
And more so.....
I hope you take action and TRAIN after being inspired from this info.
