At one point in time, my "gym equipment" was very little, and it all fit into the back of my SUV....with plenty of room to boot 🙂
I used three training tools and if I was limited to these 3 things I would still be able to develop bad ass athletes and awesome strength, power and conditioning for myself.
I had a pair of kettlebells, 1 sandbag and 1 sled. I weighed the sled down with the kettlebells and sadbag.
I traveled to different playground and a large park near by. I would drag the sled through the park where crowds were gone and all I can hear was the sounds of the birds.
I started training wrestlers only. They all thrived with this style of training, no matter how simplistic and archaic it may have seemed, there was a magic behind it all. The results spoke for themselves, and other wrestlers started to contact me.
Some weighed 90 lbs, others weighed 190 lbs, it didn't matter. The Underground was beginning and the word was spreading throughout NJ. Now, it has spread around the world, and what's old is new again.
What the men in the past did has proved to be brutally effective. The strength, speed and muscle built from the old school ways of training have been unrivaled.
The difference now is our powerful understanding of program design, putting it all together with the optimal blend of only what is necessary. This was borrowed from The Russians and a few other Eastern Bloc Countries
Yesterday an all state and former D 1 wrestler popped in and said the famous words, "I wish this was around back when I was competing."
Don't we all 🙂
