In this video I answer some questions for an up and coming Strength Coach.
- What web sites did I mostly learn from in my early years as a Strength Coach?
- Which Coaches influenced me the most in my early years as a Strength Coach?
- What short cuts do I offer to achieve more success AND faster success as a Strength Coach?
- When is it time to open a warehouse gym?

Whether you're an experienced Strength Coach or not, you should always be humble and always remain a "white belt". Keep your mind open and you will keep learning, this is the way to the top.
As always, keep it ethical. There are lots of shady people offering shady advice and in the end you never achieve success when taking the unethical route.

Ayn Rand! Love it! Really like the Brooks Kubik plug. He is one of the last Historians of Weightlifting. Even when I talk to old school weightlifting coaches they dismiss the achievements of the York boys.
When you think about the rules back in the 1940s with regard to weightlifting their weights are crazy. Make todays weightlifting novice lift under those rules and they will lift half of what they are lifting now.
What I do is listen to what everyone has to say, but in the end pick what I “Feel”. We all have a drawing towards a certain style of training. Zach loves kettlebells. I don’t use them a lot, but I love Olympic lifts. Some people like to use Olympic lifts for high repetitions. I don’t like that so I don’t train it. I don’t dog them unless they start saying the form is the same, or they lift with competition form on rep 21. Only then will I sound the BS alarm. Otherwise, To each their own. Do what you “Feel” and understand that the approach will change. As long as you keep your mind open you will begin to find that path towards your goal.
Good Luck!
DW thanks for dropping the knowledge, brotha man!!!
