Z, what type of cardio (metcon whatever you want to call it) are you doing these days? I know when you trained for SEALfit camp you were a cardio fiend.
Nick prepping for SEALFit was a totally different animal
Currently, thanks to all my running and bad mechanics w/left foot I am cleaning up some achilles, ankle and foot issues
But a CFF met con might look like this AFTER a heavy lift:
CrossFit Disco
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, reps of:
Power Cleans @ 75% of body weight
Pull Ups
Or, something like this:
9 Minutes x MAX Work of
A) Sled Sprint x 100 ft
B) KB Swings x 10
C) Double KB Clean & Press x 5
D) Sledge Hammer Strikes x 20 (switch top hand after 10)
Whew! That sounds brutal
Really liked this- i had not heard too much about Crossfit Football. Something tells me this would be a safer investment to open then a solo (non affiliated) warehouse gym- piggybacking on the CF brand.

Jeff I think what’s important is that this is a training system, NOT a business system
CrossFit IS MAIN stream now and although ea box is different, sure, U have haters but ya gotta do what you believe in vs following a herd for the sake of being a sheep

Great Interview BiG Z! Last year I had a football coach mention it and that his guys liked it so I looked into it for training. Interesting stuff. It isn’t exactly like the way I train, but pretty close. That made it a very easy transition from the Crossfit Football system to mine.
I really enjoyed his intensity!
The “Bodybuilding” world and everything about it made me laugh! So real, and so funny!

We definitely are a strength-based gym, but want to keep overall athleticism up as well.
Most of what I was not good at was due to not being strong enough for certain movements and exercises.
I am passionate about building strength and developing impeccable technique. Strength drives all human movement and I like how John incorporates strength-building.
I refuse to run a “cookie cutter” gym doing what everyone else is doing.
