Garage Gym Strength & Conditioning [Toughness Test]

by Zach Even - Esh 2 Comments

travfrontsquatIf you've been following me for a while, you know I'm a fan of Kettlebells. I use them often for my own training as well as for the training of our athletes at The Underground Strength Gym.

About 7 1/2 years ago I posted a video of The Kettlebell Combat Complex where I used a 70 lb Kettlebell. That is still a go to favorite of mine.

But this time around, I wanted to show you how Underground Strength Coach, Travis Stoetzel crushes his garage gym workouts with a kettlebell. Now that Travis is a family man, he's been doing some fast and intense home gym workouts like this:

Here are the exercises with the appropriate sets and reps:

8 Minutes of:

A) Deadlift x 6 reps

B) Hi Pull x 6 reps

C) Ground to Overhead x 6 reps

D) Goblet Squat x 6 reps

Then, 3 sets of:

- Strict Pull Ups

Get as many reps as possible on each set (Max Reps) using any grip for your pull ups, no kipping, swinging or half reps. Not sure why I have to tell people to perform a full range of motion all the time but I like to cover all bases, exercise technique needs to be respected.

This is just 1 of the The Garage Built Body Tests. There are many more to utilize and push yourself to the next level.

Your Action List:

Put yourself through Travis' garage gym toughness test and drop your comments below.

Even better, provide a Video of you kicking ass with the challenge.

STRONGER is Better.
