man of steel challenge

OK. It's ON!

Read the Entire message below, CAREFULLY. Don't be a Lazy Looker, read EVERY word below.

The Man of Steel Challenge is SOON to be released but before we open this Bad Boy up to the public, Smitty and I wanna give you guys a chance to "Earn" The entire MOS system... for FREE.

You don't need sandbags, stones or any strongman equipment. The MOS workouts are tailor made for the typical commercial gym or home gym.

On the Flip Side, The MOS Challenge is anything BUT typical and is certainly not created for the Typical Man.

We are warning you now, we want Hardcore MoFos applying for this program! Weak minded Men are NOT encouraged to partake in this program.

But.....

If you wanna pack on more muscle, get leaner and meaner in the next 12 weeks then you have in the last 12 months, Smitty and I have created the Ultimate 12 Week training system for YOU.

You'll get instructional videos for download, workout manuals for every week as well as ALL the videos on a physical DVD. Follow the program A - Z and you WILL pack on steel forged muscle.

You're gonna have to EARN your MOS program, so read on....

If you're down for this 12 week challenge and you 100% KNOW that you will go balls to the wall for the next 12 weeks, here is how you can WIN The MOS Challenge, on The House!

** The MOS Challenge Contest Rules. READ Carefully AND Entirely **

1) Be 100% Serious & Dedicated to the program. We don't want you applying, commenting or crying about why you can't do something. We want those who DO, not those who Don't. If this means only 3 people will apply, so be it, we don't care! Smitty and I have been doing this for a loooooong time and don't bother working with half assers.

2) Create a Video as to why you want The MOS 12 week program and why you believe you have Earned it. That's right, if you want IN, we want a video. It's too easy to write a few half hearted sentences or paragraphs as a comment, it takes time, commitment and thought to create a GENUINE video giving us insight into who you are and why you feel you have Earned The MOS program.

3) Once Your Video has been created and posted on youtube or any other video hosting web site, drop a comment below and link it to your video so we can see your video. Be creative and genuine when making your video. We can see who REALLY wants IN and who put together a half ass video.

4) The Deadline to submit your Video is Wed., March 31st. We suggest you get busy this weekend and make it happen ASAP. Procrastinators are NOT who we want in this program. No exceptions.

5) Smitty & I will announce the winners on Friday, April 2nd. There will be 1 winner picked from each Blog.

Bring Your A Game, because we sure as hell put together our Most Ass Kickin' Training system, EVER!

I can't wait to see what you bring to the table.

Remember, only ONE winner will be picked from My blog and ONE winner from Smitty's Blog.

Let the Videos Begin!

Lead from the Front!

  1. Hi Zach,

I have seen your promo for your new Program “MOS”. I think it´s awesome. Unfortunately I can not take part in the contest as I do not have access to a video camera. But I will try you to convince you this way (by the means of word) that I AM the right GUY to win the free copy of MOS.

In the last year I have lost about 30 lbs of fat and getting instead of this lean muscle mass. Even today I am not satisfied with my gains. Unfortunately it is very hard for me to gain muscle mass and very, very easy to lose it. Therefore I am searching for a new challenging program that will support my goal (getting more lean muscle mass). I am dedicated to follow the program to the point and even take the extra step/go the extra mile to reach my goal. As I am restricted in time (I have to kids and I want to share as much time as I can with them as my wife/their mother died 2 years ago).
And I AM 100% SURE THAT I DESERVE TO WIN THE FREE COPY AS I AM DEDICATED to give all efforts necessary and even go beyond to reach my goals (not only my fitness goals).

    Peace
    -R-

  2. Zach,

I first would like to say that reading your posts and information you give, I have learned alot. I first got to know who you were through your you tube posts from defranco’s web site. I myself like you are in my mid thirties and am now lookiing for longevity in this sport. I have trained since 15 yrs old and am now 36 and always trained by standards of a bodybuilder or should I say powerbodybuilder. With all the drugs involved in bodybuilding now its not like you are lifting and dieting it more of a science with all the drugs you must take. Winning the MOS product you are offering will give me the more “athletic look” that I am out for with being muscular lean and FUNCTIONAL. I am looking for something different and something that will give me results, and that will be MOS. I am roughly 225lbs, 5’8″ and carrying approx. 13% BF. If I would win this I will show to the world by posting pics before/after what training this way would do to your body result wise. It could also show the young kids/adults out there that it could be done by not following the so called bullshit routines that the pros are endorsing. Oh yeah one more thing I couls spend more time with my family and stay away from the gym the way I am going now 6 days per week.

    Thanks,

    Scott Rizzardi

  3. Matt Lindsey says:

    Zach,

This is why I want to dominate and become a better athlete and person by completing the MOS program!

Since the first of the year I have been desk jockey at my job working 60hrs a week, busting my ass, getting tax returns done. I still train when I get home at night in my garage and I get after it! Burpees, deadlifts, KB work, hill sprints with the dog. Just raw work to stay tough and make it through the long work days. I heard about the MOS program and with tax season ending April 15th, there is not a better way to push my physical and mental toughness than with a new hard core program! Just thinking about it I am freaking pumped. I will have to hit some push ups and chair dips in the office to relax!

A long story short, I am trying to “lead from the front”

    Matt

  4. Hi Zach.
I’m working out with weights for about 4 years. Now I’m 18(BTW: I just came back from military qualification. I got A health category = the best one :)). My main goal in training is to gain explosive power & strength to get better in Martial Arts (training almost 10 years). I’m also training basketball. Every morning I get up at 5.30 to complete my training. When I come back from school usually I play basketball or football. Later I have Martial Arts technique training and/or flexibility workout. As you see I dedicating to develop my body, but I don’t neglect my mind. The point is I’m going to reach my purposes that way or another. I gotta tell you that your MOS program definitely will help me with it. But if you’ll decide that that program will go to someone else, than, well I would continue to get stronger both mentally and physically. So – decision is yours
    Always foward

  5. Hey zach

Just wanted to say the reason i would love to have the book is so that i can get some new ideas for training myself and also my clients. I do like to lead from the front as a personal trainer and show number 1 how a personal trainer should look and feel. and 2 show my clients that nothing is impossible.i firmly believe in doing old school lifts and keeping it real i hope that this is something that would be in the book. thank you again for all the work that you and smitty do and hope that i will get the book… and remember

    Never stop pushing

    Aaron

  6. Hunter Morgan says:

    What up Zach,
I think I deserve to win the free copy of MOS because I have the mental toughness to complete your hardcore programming. In the last year I have totally transformed my body by training my ass of six days a week. I train at north macon crossfit and finding crossfit is without a doubt the best thing I have ever done. I have come to realize that the beauty of crossfit is that not only will it give you physical strength and toughness it will give you mental toughness which is in my opinion very difficult to get from a globo gym. Im all about going hard and busting my ass I approach every workout with maximum focus and intensity. I have no doubt that your MOS challenge will require physical and mental toughness and I cant wait to get started. I an 6 days away from completing a 30 day paleo diet challenge, and Im ready to start a more strenght focused program as I have been doing mostly metcons. Thanks for considering me for this challenge.I will not dissapoint.

  7. John Robison says:

First of all, just wanted to say, everyone that follows Underground Strength Coach and the workouts provided and pushes themselves the way they should, could easily “Earn” the right to win the MOS challenge. The workouts are BRUTAL and the results are AMAZING…That being said, since I have been a toddler, my father encouraged me to be active and since then I have been on a constant journey to make myself better mentally and physically, not because I want to be a professional athelete or bodybuilder, but just for the sheer curiosity to see how far I can push myself and also for the love of it. After searching for what my career choice was going to be I finally made up my mind and came to Iraq with the goal that I would save up enough money to start my own gym. I have been doing so for the past two years and almost to the point of fulfilling my dream. Me and some friends I have made while here, work on a crane crew for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, consitently working in temps that get between 120-140 degrees and we still manage to get in the gym 5-6 times a week…and no matter what kind of day we’ve had, when we step in that gym “WE BRING IT” everyday, our motivation is we will not allow ourselves to bring the “team” down. We constantly strive to improve, be it strength or conditioning. If we have to go outside the wire and we don’t have access to the gym, we work out with a rings (hooked to the crane), kettebells and the plethora of sandbags that we have over here (sandbags in a duffel work great)..Ultimately, given the opportunity we would rock the Man of Steel and give it everything we have. Zach, if you feel we’ve earned the right…give me an opportunity to purchase it early and then give the copy to some kid that can’t afford it…I consider myself blessed to be in the position I’m in and know there are a lot of people that want this and can’t afford it.

with that i’ll leave my favorite quote for everyone…it’s from Greg Anderson “When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning,
    by dreams that need completion,
by pure love that needs expressing,
    then we truly live life.”

    Underground for life,
    John

  8. Bedouin John Albiola says:

Dear Sir Zach and Sir Smitty,

its really simple… i think why i deserve MAN OF STEEL is because… i want my family to be together… My Dad is working in the Middle East… He is working there for us… for our college tuition… life is hard over here in the philippines… He cant come home or resign or quit his job because im still studying and also my sister in college… My Dad has been an Overseas Filipino Worker for 26 years now… and he wants to go home… but he cant because of our financial problems… so i told myself if i trained hard… if only i could land an athletic scholarship… playing college basketball… for my university… i can help my parents…. they wont need to worry about tuition… and our life will be easier… but becoming a varsity player is also hard… the try outs… etc… so i think i deserve MAN OF STEEL to help me achieve my athletic goals… at the same time… bring our family together… so my dad can come home… thank you sir zach and sir smitty…

  9. Brad Prichard says:

Zach, first off I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to YOU and SMITTY, for putting this together for all of us UNDERGROUNDERS…I know alot of time and hard work have went into this awesome project.
I have been so INSPIRED by your work and your teaching for many years now…as a Strength Coach myself I have used your ideas on strength and conditioning with my young athletes!
I am really excited about the MOS Challenge. Looking forward to all of the intense workouts, so I can push myself along with your help to be a TRUE MOS in LIFE!!!
My BIG INSPIRATION for doing the MOS Challenge is to not only help me build my best body and mind, but to continue to be an inspiration to my two awesome boys who are 5 and 1 years old…these guys are the reason why i train and the reason why i’m taking on this MOS Challenge.
I want to be a STRONG FATHER for them and a true MOS for them…and I know this 12 week challenge will help me do just that!!!
I’m extremely pumped about this whole concept and I know that this will take the Fitness Industry by storm.
What you and Smitty are doing will help our nation become the STRONGEST and FITTEST, mentally and physically!!!
I can’t thank you guys enough for allowing all of us to be a big part of it!!!
Thanks again for this project and i’m looking forward to getting started!

    Your in Strength,
    Coach Brad Prichard

  10. John Henderson says:

    Zach–

I throughly enjoy getting new ideas from you. When you post a video of your workouts, I am inspired to go in the garage and tear up a workout with the various odd implements I have been collecting. I love the no-rule underground attitude to training. The traditional boring gym workouts do nothing to motivate me. Can’t stand the “pretty” workouts and the gym posturing. I need something that makes me feel like I have put in an honest effort and am accoplishing something…like I did growing up on the cotton farm and cattle ranch in West Texas. Out there, there are no room for excuses or whining. If you don’t do it, it don’t get done. That’s how I like to train. No excuses and no whining.

I would relish the chance to sink my teeth into the MOS program. Watching the promo and reading about the program fires me up…I love to challenge myself and see what I can endure. Give me the opportunity and I will make the program proud!

Thanks for the time and consideration–

    John

  11. Zach, just wanted to drop a comment for the MOS Challenge. I’ve been following your blog and have used a lot of your coaching materials over the last year or so, and have found great results. Finding The Underground has lead me to kettlebell training as well as Crossfit, and even devising my own type of explosive strength training. About three months ago I took the step of moving from my backyard to a large metal boat barn I rented. Its gonna be pretty intense with the summer heat sets in down here on the third coast (south texas). By putting my extra cash into the gym and making what I can we have created a true underground gym. I’ve got about 4 other guys who enjoy hittin the iron who join me for some intense training regularly. Everything I see or read coming out of The Underground is gold, and I know the MOS Challenge will be aswell. If I win a free copy, I’ll put myself and my fellow athletes through it to bust thru our goals and current PRs. Thanks for the opportunity, knowledge you give, and for creating a community of like minded underground warriors.

Check my blog and drop a comment, that goes for everyone out there http://cutthroatbarbellclub.blogspot.com.

    Stay Strong,

    Zach Ballard

  12. Hi zach im here to convince you why i deserve to win a free copy of the man of steel program. But, i think its not a program it a way of life. People always look at the beach muscles to see if they are improving but i dont and its a funny story when i first got into training about 2 and half years ago i bought my friend to come with me to workout. every time he would work his biceps and i was doing strength workouts always maxing out on my bench and my squat not on the same day ofcourse. so i ask him why always work on your biceps he said “that what people look at when they see you”. i laughed because in a fight where all your stregnth is in your biceps you will lose badly, you dont have functional strength and you dont look good if you dont have a balance body just biceps with 20 pound dumbell curls. I go in a different direction a new breed where people look at me and say “WOW hes pushing big weight”
when i squat my max and i look in the mirror people look at me until i finish the set which can get uncomfortable but i got to do what i got to do. I mean i will be looking too if i see a guy squating 400lbs. I do all the neccacery work squat, bench press, farmers walk, deadlifts and military press thats just in the weight room when i go out and run in the park i look for stones and pick them up an run with them and bang out a couple of pull ups. I feel that the man of steel challenge will get me to the point when i can be a made out of steel where i will be stronger and faster where i will continue my new breed of training and get out all the people training in my gym to get the hell out because your lifting weight my 10 year old brother would do. I need the man of steel program so not i can transform myself but to transform my gym so i can take it to the underground so i can take it hardcore not where people do cable crossovers and techno music is playing in the background im leading from the front zach i need the man of steel program to have the weopons to continue fighting and leading from the front.

  13. Zach,I started getting your newsletters about a year ago. I statrted applying your underground techniques to my training. I then signed up for the underground strentgh coach site to gleen more info for my training. The results have been tremendous as I have lost 30 lbs. Started at 250 and now down to 220 lbs. and lean and mean. This all done at the age of 55 years old. I workout in my garage with kettlebells, homemade sandbags, boulders from the field behind my house, and a cheap ass bench I got off craigs list. I do this as I work full time for the National Guard and need to keep up with the young kids in our ranks. I would like to win the MOS as I want to step up the intesity of my training and become an even leaner and meaner mofo. Right now I can outdo the 21-25 year olds in the physical fitness test and I want to get to where I can beat the pants off of them and they say with their jaws dropped, “damn that ol’ man just beat the hell out of us on the pt test”. That is why I would like to win the MOS and start the intense training so I can be a strong and bad old man. Thanks for what you do.

Not for the weak;lead from the front,
    Brad

  14. I want to start off by saying Hell Ya!!!! I have wrestled all my life, now a coach, full-time firefighter and personal trainer was in the Marine Corps for 10 years and finally someone has put it all together for the world to see and that’s YOU ZACH. I am a pupil in this strength and conditioning world and always will be, but guys like you and the Diesel Crew help a brotha out when things get a little dry and you get in a slump. I have used your methods to supplement thing in the wrestling room and the kids hated me for it but loved it in the end. The same goes for the guys at the Firehouse, just like the old gym crap they would all do the same thing set after set and then DAMN here comes this freak out of the Marines spitting fire out his but throwing kettlebells, tires, I even made a 65lb sledgehammer just to kick everyones A#@ including my own. Most that know me think I am insane for the methods that I use and train with but then they get a taste of the Cool-aide and BAM they are hooked. I would love to get my hands on your new program and give it every ounce of sweat, blood and tears that I have and give you the results that you can be proud of. Underground Strength has the stuff that most don’t, so give me the cool-aide and lets get rollin.

    Semper Fi,
    Reecer

  15. Zach,

I’m 46 years old and I weigh 290 lbs. my whole life i’ve been athletic and i’ve always lifted. in the past 2 yrs. I have had 2 knee operations on the same knee. The first one was by an inexperienced doctor, the second one was a success. While out of commission I found your site. I still have alot of muscle on my body, I just need to lose the fat suit. I would love to give the MOS a try. I’m intrigued with your training methods. I will take before and after pics and post them. I’d like to show everyone your never too old to get back in shape.

  16. Fabrice aka CROMLECH says:

Hi guys, hi Zach and Smitty!

this mail from FRANCE (yes, the froggies)
First of all, I deserve to win a free MOS copy because of my surname: in celtic language, CROMLECH means “big stone, megalith”. Do I need to add comments?
Actually, I became a gym rat 15 years ago, and I resumed hitting the iron a few months ago, when I was in Afghanistan.
Right now, my colleagues believe I am an alien, because of my training.
    I do dips in the angle of a staircase;
    I push my car on the parking lot;
    I run 400mts and then go for heavy squats;
    I take a backpack and throw iron in until I cann’t do a pull-up anymore;
    I run at 16kph for one hour and am still able to deadlift double of my bodyweight;
    I will do pull-ups and dips for one hour;
    I will sprint on 20% uphill;
    I will go for a run with my guys, in full BDU, then hit the gym for some heavy farmer’s walk;
    I regularly climb some ropes, without legs, after huge workouts;
I will make an heavy sandbag with a dufflebag next week-end, to practise some “stupid” games at home.

I am motivated, I am dedicated, I am as tough as ever. I am a french guy who trains alone amongst gym talkers.
I am hard as a CROMLECH, I live up to my surname.

    Peace!

  17. Mr. Even-Esh and Mr. Smith,
First off, thanks for the chance to win your new Man of Steel Program. I’m play football and had looked into buying Mr. Even-Esh’s Under Ground Beast Strength Program. However I couldn’t get all of the equipment needed (I’m 15 and can’t fit much more equipment into my little workout area especially a tractor tire). The Man of Steel Program would be awesome for me because I can do the workouts in a regular gym and still kick butt. I have still been working my butt off and seeing good results but I know that your Program could get me to the next level in the gym and on the field if I put everything I have into it.
Thanks a ton and have a blessed day,
    Robert

  18. Hey Z & Smitty, thanks for this opportunity. Id like to post a little bit of background about me and why I would be good for the man of steel challenge. I began lifting weights when I was 13 years old. I started out not being able to bench 100 lbs and squatting 185. I followed the basic bodybuilding routines you see in the magazines but they were doing nothing for me. It wasnt until I stumbled upon guys like you and smitty, louie simmons, joe defranco, and jason ferrugia that my training really took off. Around 1 year later at age 14, I have gone from a 100lb bench to around 200 lbs, a 185lb squat to 315lbs, and a 225 deadlift to around 340. My bodyweight has also increased from 135 lbs to 158 lbs. I would be a good choice for this program because even though I am not the strongest or biggest guy in the gym, I always give 100% and work hard everyday to get better.

Thanks and have a great day.

    Sincerely,

    Andre Koontz

  19. Paul Murray says:

    Zach,
There is nothing else to say but your programs rock your advice is second to none. but your quote tops it all. “LEAD FROM THE FRONT” My old wrestling coach alway said to do great things whatever avenue you take make sure you do it great. I have been looking for a way to break the boring days of pushing my self through life and being part of the herd. I don’t want to be a sheep I am the Wolf. With your help I could be a bad man. I will do great with this program

  20. Colin Daniels says:

    Zach,

I honestly believe I deserve to win THe MAN of STEEL challenge because I am one of the most dedicated workers in the gym you will probably ever come across. I am always working on my basketball skills mentally,in the gym and in the weight room. I just have troubles gaining muscle mass from the same old routines my coaches tell me to do. Colleges tell me my skill is there to play but I don’t have enough mass. I am a point guard 5’10” who weighs 135lbs. Yes only 135 for 5’10” I know I lift a lot I eat a ton and I cannot build up muscle and I always give my best effort even off the court (3.6 gpa). I constantly am driven to play college basketball and this will bring me over the edge to play.

    Thank you and sincerely,
    Colin Daniels

  21. Brian Adams says:

    Zach
I am a full time Georgia Game Warden and part time Deputy for Glascock Co Sheriff Office. As a Game Warden we always work alone and our Sheriff’s office only has four Deputy’s. So when the shit hits the fan there aint any back up comeing to help like on T.V.. I got introduced to crossfit in November while training with the Army Rangers on the Counter Terrorism Taskforce. I instantly knew that this kind of training was better that the regular lifting and running I had been doing . Then I found your web page and love the no exscusses attitude that you put into the work outs. I do all my training in my garage with home made equipment and a few old weights I have put together. Your no B/S attitude mixed in with crossfit’s workouts is exactly the kind of training that will some day save my life or someones else. Even if i dont get the Man of Steal for free dont stop posting your work outs and articles .They keep me pumped up and training harder.
    Thanks Brian

  22. Glenn Nelson says:

    G’day Zach and Smitty!

    finally a comment from Aust
First of all, I like every other follower of Zach and Smitty deserve to win a free MOS copy but reality and life sadly don’t work, however, what better way to market MOS in the great southern land than on a slightly used and bashed around Australian. After leaving the full time Aust army (still a reservist) after 25 years I have still have the fire in the belly and enjoy pushing through around or under any wall placed in front of me, and I still have very little tolerance for BulS?”T and ego based training systems.
I am motivated, I am dedicated, I am as tough as any of your keen followers, keep up the good work.

  23. Do not know if I deserve it, but I could use the work outs to recover. I was lefting 5 dys a week. one day per body section. Increased a Box squat to 405 lbs., leg press 1100 lbs including toe lifts up to 800 lbs., and rows, bench press was 285 lbs, incline setups, roman chair setups.I even ran 3 miles 3 days a week with a 50lb wieght vest. I followed the diet program of lots of fresh green vegies, fresh fruit, oat meal for breakfast, low fat lunch and supper.
For no medical reason I ended up with blood clots in both legs. Fo two years now I have been working slowly to get the strenght back that I lost, and lose the fat that I gained. Thanks for you post. they keep me motivated to keep going. Love the Ideas in the video.
    Dave

  24. G’day Zach and Smitty,

It’s pretty hard to say I deserve this the most.
So I’m not going to, instead I’m just going to tell you about myself and why I want it. I work as lanscaper and S&C coach/personal trainer so I’m pulling 65-70hrs a week on top of this I have a young family. So as you can see I’m pretty flat out, but even being this busy I have been able to acheive my goals which were twice my body weight deadlift and body weight power clean. I weigh 85kg (187lbs) hit a 180kg(396lb) deadlift and 87.5kg(192lbs) power clean. Now I want a new challenge!I think I have what it takes to kick arse with this program. Both the Chaos manual and underground system have been stables in both mine and my clients training. So I think that the two of you combined is a wicked combo and I want in! what’s the program going to retail for? If I don’t win I’ll have to buy it.

    Cheers from downunder
    Ryan

  25. Hi zach
Don’t have a sob story to tell you.I work,I train,I live life from the front.Just want to train harder.
    Goodluck to the winner.
    Thanks
    Shai

  26. Hey Z, kev from the aussie crew here! Been going hardcore on the weights for a few years now and looking for the MOS challenge to go the next step up. Started playing football last year and restarting the new season now. In the last year ive tones up and lost 10kgs. I posted a video on your FB site a while ago ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foj80rrP_Ks ) which is a snippet of how me and my buddy (who have just started a new business) train! Z….. Im up for the challenge!

  27. Smitty, Zach.

I’ll keep this short and sweet, because life is about quality.

I need this, i want this, i deserve this! I lead my life by one quote i heard when i was 15 ‘Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail’ – I bet you know who said this. Ever since that day i have strived to smash every record i set for myself in every task i took part in, making myself into something people can emulate. Be it basketball, soccer, athletics history exam, race to the bus and now… my own successful strength business to be!

I played national level basketball, but deep down i always loved Soccer. So i set that as my new goal to push myself as far and as hard as i could possibly get, i made great progress and stepped up a level to semi-pro, then after a could start to season breaking into the 1st team, i tore my hamstring, recovered, came back and then tore my other hamstring! I have been out for a year, frustrated, filled with anguish and with a desire to come back bigger, faster and stronger. So i can reclaim that feeling of the fight of the battle and sweet victory that succeeds it!

I base a lot of my game on being faster and stronger than my opponents, it has worked well so far, so now i want to take it to pro levels and truly fulfill the potential i know i have, i want this Man of steel programe to help me, aid me in this goal of mine. You will set me the task and i will excel in it for you, you will not be disappointed Zach, Smitty. I’m the man for this, i want to learn from the best, and do like the best.

    Attempt the impossible,

  28. Hey Zack, and Smitty,
Aint gonna say I deserve it more then anyone. Because I don’t. I don’t really have an inspirational story. But what I can tell you is that I would PUSH my way through this MOS program! I wouldn’t quit after the first couple of weeks and say I don’t have time, or Im to tired I will make it up some other time. A little about me…My parents always pushed me to do my best and not quit. I am 16 years old love training and pushing my body and mind to the limit seeing how far I can go. Its a pasion of mine. I train in my parents basement mostly by myself every now and then a friend of mine wants to see how I workout and they want me to put them through a workout. Some don’t ask to come back haha. I barely have enough room to push my barbell over my head I have to make sure the weights are between the rafters but I make do with what I have! This man of steel program would just be another challenge for me to enjoy. And make me more wiser in what I love to too. Aint expecting to win it for free soo Ive been saving my pay check for it! Thanks for everything you and Smitty have taught me over the past year. Look forward to every post and email I recieve from you guys!

  29. Hey Zach. YES!! This is what I have been waiting for. I am a man who works out on a regular program. Lately I have hit a wall, I am scared I will begin to lose what I have gained. I feel this program will help me bust through the wall. I am the kind of guy who always have had to motivate myself, in jr. high, highschool, and in college, my track and field coach’s told me they didn’t know what to do with me. I was a sprinter they were long distance runners. So I didn’t quit. I made my own workouts for the most part using much of the same exercises you talk about and show. Long story short, I became a 5 time track and field All American, and I still hold Sprinting records on every level I have competed. I just need a little help now. I know you are not like my coaches Zach. You will not throw your hands up because you don’t know how to help me to the next level. Thanks for your consideration. Hamilton

  30. I WANT this program. I just left the gym I was at for the last 4 years bc I was tired of waitng for the guys doing shrugs to get done with the ONE squat rack they had. So I cleaned my basement and started my own home gym. All I have so far is a pull up bad, barbell, homemade dip station, 3 sandbags (50,75,and 100), a sledge, small tire, and some plates. I get some great workouts using some of the stuff from your emails. I like how the nontraditional lifts keep my body guessing.

I coach wrestling. And a lot of what I started doing from your emails I have began to use in training the team. They love it..or hate it…haha..not sure which one, but they keep coming back for more.

I also compete with my cousin. Once our wrestling careers ended we needed some type of competition. So we made “Man Olympics”. It involves events like Climbing a tree the fastest, moving huge rocks, swim the most laps in the pond, etc. We compete every August. If this is the type of program that would help me whoop his a$$, then I WANT IT. Pick me, you won’t be sorry.

    Keep up the good work.

  31. I was so pissed the other day, at both of you. A VIDEO contest for MOS. I don’t have a camera. I told my wife I am going to buy a camera so I can win this contest. Pragmatic as she is she said “we don’t have the money and the camera would cost more then just buying it (the program)”. Crap! She was right as usual. So I am out of the contest … well that was until you guys opened it up to us noncamera kind of guys.

I love working out. It has become a passion. But in the past I limited myself (not purposely) due to a lack of understanding about physical fitness and conditioning. Then I started following your youtube videos and blogs (both Zach’s and Jim’s). And because of that I found more inspiring people to learn from like Matt Wichlinski, Elliott Hulse, (and the list goes on and on). Soon I got (more) jacked about getting jacked. Before this epiphany I kind of worked out just to keep from getting too fat and unhealthy. I only felt that way because I was bored (because my workouts where boring). NOW I workout for fun. It’s my sport of choose.

I am in the process of getting a hold of (and/or making) all the functional training equipment I see you guys train with (construction tires, sleds, prowlers, sledge hammers, ropes, etc.) but right now I only have a gym membership. It’s a cool gym though because there are very few machines and lots of dumbbells, plates, bars, benches, and squat racks. It’s got what I need and I just love the feel of the steel. I wish there was a harcore gym around (maybe I will be the first) but there is not, so I work with what I got. I expect to have my own equipment within the next year though. Gotta love Craigslist. Of course I drive my wife nuts because I am always on it looking for equipment. To be honest if you had a program involving these tools I would not even enter because I am not yet there (equipment wise). But this is gym focused program and that is why I am in brotha(s).

I may not be the biggest guy, but I am tuff as nails. I grew up skateboarding. And I competed. I have left blood over most of the North East and a little down South. Let’s just say I always got back up. But I prefer to lift now. I make a plan and I stick to it. If I schedule myself to go to the gym I go. I have two jobs a wife and two children (all of which I love dearly) so sometimes I can not get to the gym until nighttime. But I still go. I have even gone at 1am (my gym is 24/7) and still made it to work at 8am after a 40 minute drive. This is not optimal but it is what I have to do to get the job done. Plus working out at night means I never feel guilty for neglecting my family (because they are asleep).

One weakness I have is program development. I am not experienced enough. I just want someone to tell me what to do, like a drill sergeant, and I will do it, or I will loose consciousness trying. Listen, when I win this contest the last thing you will have to worry about is me showing up and getting the work done. I am committed (in more then one way). My doc said I would never run again after I broke my knee … I run (well sprint) all the time. My HS teachers said I would never be able to get a degree in engineering because I dropped out of high school (due to family situations)… I got it (my BSEE) and I am now in my field working away. Some said I was to wild to find a wife to deal with me … I found won and she loves me. Now she says I will not be able to have a “garage” gym … I will 😉

OK I am done. I got myself all riled up. I have to go for a walk now. Good thing I am hitting the weights tonight.

    Peace
    Michael

yo zack straight into it, I work my ass off every time i work out. I am always bussy with work and my kids but thay aint no excuse to not work out, hell no! i hit the playground at the local school and i take my kids with me cause they are my extra weights. they each hang off a leg when i hit the pull ups and they are ond my back when i do push ups, they have an awsome time I love a challenge and i would love to have the oppourtunity to kick the man of steel programs ass !

  34. Hi Zach. I will also keep this short and tell you why I would deserve to with the free MOS program. I am the same age as you are and finally had enough of the corporate world and followed my passion of opening my own gym which I have now done just a few months ago.
    My gym follows the same principals as you preach, we train hard all the time. All the shops around us think we are crazy when they see us pushing cars, flipping tyres, using kegs and sledgehammers, kettlebells etc;
I am constantly after a challenge and want to challenge myself as much as I can. I lead from the front and I want to show my clients about being tough is not just physical but also mental and I preach this every day to my clients. I am always trying to learn as much as I can and push myself to the absolute limits and beyond.
I based in Australia and want to show this country about “REAL” training…not the “pussy” training people think that they do in your commercial gyms.
I take everything you preach and live it. I am getting off my ass day in and day out building my business full time and also being a full time dad.
I can give you my word that I will be off my ass every day giving 110% of this program!!
    Cheers
    Joe

  35. Hey Zac,

To start off want to tell how much of an inspiration you and Smitty have been to helping me work on getting back in shape. I never really have been out of shape its just that I tore my rotor in 2006 and had to have a surgery on it and then had complications with the surgery that almost cost me my life and ended up with respitory problems. It took me over a year to recover from that. Then when I got to go back to work I ended up tearing my shoulder in two more spots and had to go through 3 different docters till found one that was comfortable doing the surgery in April 2008 and even he said it was the worse damage he had seen for soomeone of my age being that I was 25 at the time and he is one of the best docters on the east coast for shoulder surgeries. Then after over a year of therapy and chiropractor care my work decided they wasnt going to pay any more of my docter bills. So i had to quit going to therapy and started back at the gym to try and rebuild the strength in my shoulder and that didnt work because of the loss of use I have in my shoulder i cant really lift free weights like that anymore. So i start searching the web for alternate ways to regain my life and it was by finding your website smitty’s and elliott hulse’s websites that I found ways to rebuild my strength. So I am still working on getting back to as close to normal if not better then normal after 4 years and about $250,000 spent on my shoulder and still fighting my company over the last few doctor bills nearing $20,000. But yea the MOS system would be a great help to me in regaining my freedom of doing things without having to ask for help from people on things i use to not have no problem what so ever doing. So yea keep up the awesome work that ya’ll are doing and continue being the inspirations that ya’ll are. I look forward to checking the new videos that ya’ll post and the emails everyday. So thanks for all that ya’ll do and keep up the good work.

Man of Steel you say, hmm, how about woman of steel, or iron really.

This is a very interesting proposition to me because I am at a training cross roads right now and this program sounds like just the thing to kick my ass into a higher gear. Let me explain further…

I am a competitive powerlifter in the CPU (IPF). I’ve done 7 meets in the past 2 years and will participate in my second National competition in 8 days. As much as I love powerlifting, I need a break from peaking cycles, I want to get stronger and leaner, but most of all I want to have FUN and do something different for a while. Sure, I’m positive the program is not what most would consider fun, but for me it sounds like a blast.

Another really cool aspect for me is that I have the opportunity to share these resources with my 15 year old daughter, who is a budding olympic lifter. I got her involved with a local club in January, and watching her get stronger and healthier while fully enjoying herself has been AWESOME. Participating in strength sports is giving her a positive body image which is so important on so many levels!

This proposition you’ve put out there, well it sounds win-win to me. I bet it’s tough as hell. Bring it!

  37. Hey Z,
I’m just 14 and started training 2 years ago.At that time i used plain bodyweight(one reason for this was the lack of equipment). To this day, i still enjoy BW training. I once tried going to a commercial gym. The atmosphere there distressed me, so i withdrew my membership. Now i train at home, all i have is home made pull up n’ dip bars. I pressurized my parents to get me a barbell. I expect to receive it next month. i wanna improve my strength n’ conditioning for soccer n’ MMA. I wan’t this book for the concept it represents. I like to take different training styles in my program. And i’m sure that the MOS will surely be a great addition. As i don’t have access to a gym, my concepts are limited too, but i make do with whats available to me, after all the old time strong men like sandow, saxon etc did not have access to the so called commercial gym did they???.My parents dont support me in training, so i cannot buy any courses , i make do with the free resources like this blog( such blogs provide a lot of ideas). Therefore it would be extremely beneficial if i were to get the MOS.
My motto in life is- “Never back down”.. So even if i dont get MOS i’ll still be able to reach sky high levels of conditioning. But with MOS i would have been able to do it faster.
    Yours in training-

    Coach Z

This is my third attempt at leaving a comment- I hope this one works- and if all three show up I apologize.

I am a 27 year old husband and father to a beautiful 10 month old baby girl. As I write this she is fighting a nap on the futon in my office- I care for her while my wife is finishing off her nursing degree.

I am a full time youth and music pastor who is passionate about helping people live healthier lives. I have created (on my own dime) a mini version of the Underground in the basement of the church. A group of teens and even adults meet here every weekday at 3 to train. We use BBs, DBs, KBs, Battle Ropes, Body Weight, Sand Bags, bands, Plyo Boxes, numerous Lifeline USA gadgets among other things that help us to kick butt every single day.

From one busy father to another you know how it is to lead by example- this is why I am so thrilled about the prospect of the MOS program. I was at the Monkey Bar Gym two weeks ago and Jon Hinds flat out asked me how my nutrition has been going- he knew that with as much muscle that I had put on since the last time he saw me that I should have been leaner and meaner than I was. I didn’t make any excuses and told him that it definitely needed to improve.

At a bit over 5’9 and around two hundred pounds with around 18 percent body fat this was an eye opening conversation with one of the best trainers in the game. Since then I have taken responsibility for what I have been putting in my body. I trained like crazy- can still grab a 10′ rim, but my diet flat out sucked! It was time to make a change.

I love all the types of training that you do at the Underground. I am inspired to make a difference in the lives of the young people that I have been entrusted to lead. This is so much bigger than me becoming a beast. I want to continue to learn, to continue to evolve and you are one of the few trainers that I look to for advice. I want to make a difference and to combat the “wussififaction of America” head on.

By reading some of the comments here there are a lot of people that probably deserve this MOS program. But I believe its not what we say say that makes us great, its what we do. I will put in the work, do whatever it takes to get the results that will do your program justice. I will take what I learned from this program and teach it to my teens and the other people that train with me. I am done with excuses and am willing to sacrifice comfort so that I can truly lead from the front.

    Thanks

    Chris

  40. Hey Zach and Smitty, I must thank the two of you so far in what you have taught me. Now, I am taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and am by far the strongest person there due to all of the innovative strength and endurance tips and methodologies I have received from the two of you. Just yesterday I had to go a round with a guy whom I thought was a lot more skilled at the sport than I was. But low and behold, once the fight had started I found that he was not able to execute his submissions because he could not overpower me. About one minute later, I had him in a guillotine choke hold; I had beaten a guy that I originally thought was much more skilled than I due to the fact that I was more powerful than he. And I have the two of you to thank for that.
But to say that you two have only taught me about strength and conditioning would be sincerely false. Simply because both of you, in your own respective ways, have to taught me to be more confident with who I am and to not let anyone or anything to put me down. From your teachings’, I had the courage to ask out the girl of my dreams. Now she is my very first girlfriend. In addition, I could have very easily just decided to not compete in my Jiu Jitsu fight, or just let my opponent’s skill intimidate me into submission. Instead, I knew to never back down and to always keep fighting for whatever I believe in, no matter what the odds. As a result, I am now 1-0 in Jiu Jitsu, have an awesome girlfriend behind me, and can successfully wake up every morning knowing that whatever the day may throw at me, I’ll be able to take it head on.
Now, the two of you have this new program coming out, and it seems as though it’s the best one yet. I am always looking to push myself to my physical (and mental) limits, because only then does someone get truly stronger. And if I were to win this program, I know that I would use it to its fullest and truly make myself into a man of steel.

    Peace,
    – Louie Coplan

  41. Zach,
Please hurry up and publish it so I can BUY it.

  42. Zach,

I am a trainer in a country town in Australia and fed up with the commercial gym Bull#@$% i am leaving to set up my own underground strength gym at my house part time. I am 23 and have been doing underground style strength training and martial arts for about 10yrs. I love your no BS approach and would really be pumped up to have the MOS program to take myself and my clients to another level. Thanks for all the great info i have used a lot of your stuff for my clients and my own training. The MOS challenge would greatly benefit me cheers mate.

  43. I train for strength and self-esteem. I’m a 43 year old software programmer who stares at a computer screen 10 hours a day in the office and then stares 3 hours through the windscreen of my car in hellish traffic as i crawl home. As you can guess sitting on my butt 13+ hours a day doesnt help my fitness goals but with the ideas i get from my favorite ranter (lol) Zach, I’ve been able to put together short brutal workout three times a week after i get the kids to bed. And i’m making real gains. the numbers on the basic lifts have notched up. Recently i hit 2 x BW for squats (1RM)and 196kg for the deadlift (5RM). my bench still sucks tho but perhaps i lack the proper technique. I know this is a long way from Zach’s 515 pounds but considering where i was ( a big fat zero) 18 months ago when i first picked up a barbell i dont think i’ve done too badly. Also thanks to Diesel crew’s pullup university i can now crank out 55 pullups spread over 6 sets twice a week. Now i’m looking to take my strength gains to the next level and i can tell MOS will get me there. I really wouldnt mind paying for MOS but online payments are difficult to make from Nigeria, my country of residence. Recently after reading up on Pavel’s Naked Warrior i tried to get it from the link Zach provided but Nigeria wasnt listed. Not funny! Other than getting strong something else has changed in me. I’ve learnt not to let anything stop me from my goals. i’m still as busy as hell in the office yet i’m hitting the weights regularly. what has changed? my mind! Thanks Zach!

I approach this from a different direction than most. I am 63 years old, have had 2 cardiac stents, a two way bypass, and last June a disc operation on my lumbar disc. I have been active all my life, with over 800 miles of backpacking, and working out nearly every day since age 25. I am looking for a challenging program to regain the strength lost in the back operation. I am also an MD (Family Practice Board Certified) with a strong interest in conditioning. Also I am the Medical Director of our local fire and rescue department, with a strong interest in helping them gain and maintain a high level of fitness in order to fit fires and do the lifting necessary in EMS. We have lost one Paramedic to back injury, and have had two others temporarily sidelined by core injuries, plus 4 other sidelined by shoulder injuries in the last two years. The information and challenges in the program will help me with my personal fitness, and with my working with paramedic/firefighters in their fitness both personal for fitness for duty, and to help prevent future injuries. Hey Zach and Smitty,

My name is Clifton Smith I am 29 years old, I been married for 2 years and I a lil girl. I am currently a professional athlete. I played a few years in the NFL, but I am now playing in the new AFL one league. I enjoy working out and I love the different articles and tips that the diesel crew provide.
The reason I feel I deserve the Man of Steel program is because I want to feel like the man of steel again. Lately in life I been struggling with my strength and weight. It seems no matter how hard I push myself in the weight room, I am not getting the results I want or should be achieving. I believe in the philosophy “you pass out before you die, so if you aren’t passing out, than keep going“. Like I stated before, I want to feel like the man of steel again, my overall strength was always great but I am going to focus on my bench press because it has taken the biggest hit from life’s trials and tribulations. Coming out of high school and entering college, my bench press max was 365lbs as a freshman linebacker. I played as a true freshman and gained freshman All-American honors. My second year at school I increased my max to 380lbs and dominated on the field and established myself has a defensive force. Opponents talked about how hard I hit and my teammates knew to look out for me in practice. I was such a unmovable force, linemen and fullbacks had problems trying to block me straight up, man to man. Going into my third year at school I increased my max to 405lbs and unfortunately I torn my left pec the first game of the season. I played the whole season and had a less than average year in my opinion, but I was still recognized with conference honors. After getting my pec repaired after the season, I wasn’t the same dominated player. I entered my fourth year just barely lifting 225 lbs. That same fear that opponents and teammates had, wasn’t there anymore. And I quote from one of my teammates “ I’m not scared of you anymore on the field” you are not the same player as before. Well I took that personal to get back to being that man of steel player again. I fell thru on the NFL draft despite being rated as a first day draft pick, I wasn’t drafted at all. I ended up being signed by a team in which I made it on their practice squad team. I used that opportunity to get strong again. Basically taking me 2 years from after surgery I got back to benching 315 lbs. The following season with the same team and year later stronger, I played like a dominate player again. I had a good camp and played good in the preseason games. In the team’s third preseason game I ended up getting hurt, something happen with my left arm. I was in such pain, but was hoping for the best. Well a x ray was taking of my arm but no broken bones at all. So great, I played in the team’s last preseason game and was prepared on making the ball club. But my arm was still bothering me. So ended up getting a MRI and found out that I partially torn my left tricep tendon and that the muscle re-tracked up my arm. Once again I had to have surgery, since than I have never been the same man of steel player again. I haven’t benched over 300 lbs since than and my overall strength hasn’t been the same despite me trying to almost kill myself in the weight room with time and effort.
I deserve the man of steel program because I have the mental drive and focus to take on this workout program. I know this workout program will not only make me strong again, but I know it will make me a man of steel player again, being that dominate force again. And despite my miss fortunate of getting hurt at completely the wrong times in my career, I know I still have the ability and fire to be the best I can be, mind, body and soul. I have the mind and soul, I just need the body and that is where the Man of Steel program comes in. Thank you for your time and this opportunity. God bless.

  47. Hey Zach,
I appreciate your emails. Don’t know how to camcord and don’t have one anyway, but I need the Man of Steel. I am 49 years old, have severe asthma and allergies and was way out of shape for years. Last summer i started doing Crossfit and got a lot better, then my job closed and I couln’t afford the fees anymore. Working again, but putting in 12-15 hours a day and I need the workouts to unwind. I have to make myself do it but it will be worth it.Thanks

  48. Hi Zach, this is a cool thing man. just post to say thanks for all the emails. I’ve learned a lot and not only learned also add a lot of strength using sandbags and my body weight on my back yard. you make me a soul lifter

  49. Hey im looking for a new program to follow and I always follow them tho a T and I go balls to the walls when I train so I know I can make gains on your program I just want to show you the results.

  50. Hey Zach,

This MOS challenge sounds like the perfect program for me. Using real lifts and busting my ass in the gym is how you get results. The programs you and your associates put together are the best workouts. Its not some fad crap promising fast results. Its all about dedication and Opening up a can of put out.

  51. Hey Zach,

I love your workouts. They aren’t some fad crap promising fast results with little effort. Its all about effort and opening a can of put out. Currently i am an active duty navy corpsman with first marine division. These workouts are exactly what the military needs to embrace in order to prep for war. I want to take part in the MOS challeng because i want to better myself physically in a community where your physical ability gains you so much credibility and respect and your program is the best way to do that. Taking part in this challege would drastically help my performance in my job. Thank you for putting real workouts out there.

    Watup Zach and Smitty,

Let me start by saying zach i have been following u 4 years, your inspirational vids and emails really keep me fired up all year round. Smitty when u were posted by arnel ricafranca for a few vids on youtube you were great. No i meant BEYOND great, i took notes and have pointers on each one of the vids of u that were posted. awesome tips thx. I hope you guys are successful on completely revolutionizing the fitness world into what it should look like. Keep up the great work and thanks again.

i cant tell u guys how much i want the Man Of Steel program. From the minute i saw the commercial video youtube i could tell this is for sure a kick ass program. Well technically i knew it was kick as when i read Zach’s email saying him and Smitty created it. i’m a 12th grader on a wrestling team, and since i got on the team in 10th grade i’ve been mining the secrets for building Herculean strength combined with deadly explosiveness. i believe that i’m dead on correct when i say that the MOS program can deliver such results, in an amazingly short amount of time, despite the fact that the program can be performed in regular commercial gyms(when normally it’s impossible to achieve results miles from such). I hope to pass on techniques and strategies in the program to my teammates to create a strength and toughness that has never before existed in the ring. i trust Smitty and Zach to give the program into the hands of the people to which it will mean the most. Thx for hearin me out

    Peace out:)

  53. Hey Zach, I gotta say you have some of if not the best strength training manuels that I have read. I love how they are both simple and direct but yet you have to push the intensity at each workout to take yourself above and beyond what you’re capable of, you see im a bodybuilder myself as well as a personal trainer for golds gym. As you well know it doesn’t matter how much you can move but what you look like on stage an part of that look is density and hardness the kind of aspects you get from superior strength training. I push it all the way when i train and im always looking for new effective training methods and workouts to help achieve my goals and better myself in the gym and in life in general. I don’t think I BELIEVE that the workouts in the M.O.S package will up my game so that i can CRUSH my competition on stage and possibly a few strength contests i might enter >). Also being a P.T, i wanna have all my clients get into the best shape of their lives and have the strength of a bear at the same time. I will be starting my functional strength programs soon and I’ll be ordering 2 more of your books soon…. give me the chance to add the “Man of Steel” to the others so that i can turn both myself and my clients into some of the most powerful, inshape monsters to walk out of Gold’s Gym Fredericksburg. Why do i deserve it because i know what it’s like to push myself and others to the limit and strive to be the best something, because I NEED IT, I USE IT, AND I LIVE IT.

    Thank you Zach.

  54. Z & Smitty-

I want to say that I’ve been following your posts and videos for about 6 months now. I find myself looking forward to getting that email everyday. I like how you take it all by the horns and make it happen. NO BULLSHIT!!! I’m a firefighter, weightlifter, a father of two, and most recently someone who truly enjoys to train underground style! I love the firemen I work with and would love to see them train like I have been. Since a lot of them DO NOT, there are some guys that are out of shape. I have been getting stronger every day and if something where to happen to one of the guys during a fire call, I feel I can take control and get them out of any situation. Today I would like to say that I would hope you consider me to win the MOS challenge so that I can work the program and have NO DOUBT that I can handle any and every situation that presents itself to me in the fire service. Because of the things you have accomplished, I have even gone out and rented a garage to start my own undergroud style gym. I found a 350lb. tire, got sledge hammers, made some boxes for box jumps, made sandbags out of army bags, made a homemade sled, and am currently working on some 2 inch rope. I would love to take the MOS challenge and become a stronger, faster and better fireman, father and all around undergrounder!!!

I hope you do but if you do not choose me, I will continue to be the person I strive to be and will keep pushing everyday. Thank you guys for all your inspiration. And as I like to say, go out there and “Get your Beast On”!

  55. Wassup Zach,

My name is Koddie-Jaymes, im 21 yrs old and living on a small island in Hawaii called Moloka’i. It’s a small island with not much resources especially in strength and conditioning. I like to say thank you for sending the e-mails. It was a really good resource to gain strength and conditioning. I feel that I deserve to have a copy of MOS because it will benefit me and everyone that I come across with on this island.

  56. Guys, the responses are un-freaking-real!!!

I’ll be announcing the winner Friday!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  57. Hey Zach,

My name is Sam Broughton I’m 23 right now and from a small city in Australia. I started training in the gym in high school with my phys ed teacher as a way to improve my martial arts skills and towards the end of high school began teaching martial art to others. I was loving passing on what I knew to others and had a dream of one day doing it for a living. I was loving fitness also and could see how the two went hand in hand. I was about to fininsh high school and for the past year had been trying to find a job which I would enjoy. Everybody told me I couldn’t become a personal trainer & martial arts instructor full time, they said go to university study and get a real job. I had all of these people telling me I couldn’t acheive my dream. What was worse is that I was born with a physical disability that effects my legs and balance. I have limited range of movement in my legs and have troble trying to balance at most times (I was 3 before I began to walk and couldn’t ride a two wheeler push bike until I was 13) But I thought screw it! I could see and feel the difference fitness was making to my life and already I was doing things people were saying I wouldn’t be able to do. My doctors were loving it. I could now ride a two wheeler bike as good as anyone, I drove a manual car, Had acheved my black belt and receved an award for my teaching skills all of these things were telling me I was on the right track, fitness was changing my life. I studied fitness and became a personal trainier whilst also running my own martial arts club. I was working in a commercial gym and was getting called into the office and repremanded for training people to hard! I was told I couldn’t use things like burpies, med ball throw downs and handstand push ups in sessions as the were not mainstream, WTF!! I knew I had to get out. I began my own personal training buisness from inside another facility. I called it reality personal training – fitness for real people (this pissed my old boss off, she knew exactly what I meant). Then came the 1st of March this year I had the option of purchasing the gym from which I was working. I have done so and in the last month have been able to make my dreams come true. I haven’t had a day of in over three months and last week I worked a 22 hour day to make it happen. I will buy the MOS challange anyway if I don’t win. I love the way you train and own some of your other products. They have kept me focused and motivated when people told me what I was doing or wanted would never work or be possible. Keep doing what your doing brother, and thank you for your insight, knowledge and the oppertunity to share my story with you.

    Sam

  59. Hey Zach,

This MOS challenge sounds like the perfect program for me. Using real lifts and busting my ass in the gym is how you get results. The programs you and your associates put together are the best workouts. Its not some fad crap promising fast results. Its all about dedication and Opening up a can of put out.
