I had a great time visiting Adirondack Barbell Club in Glens Falls, NY last week. I had been here before about 12 years ago when on my vacation in upstate, NY.
I did not get a chance to record the main room with all the old school bodybuilding machines. I saw equipment in there from the 90s and it was another reminder how so much of the older equipment just does NOT break.
In addition, and I can be wrong here, I feel like much of the older equipment was built by people who actually trained, which is why it was those older machines were so durable and effective.
Bill Crawford invited me back to see The Metal Militia Social Club where he built his own gym in the basement. Linked HERE, you can see the rare photos they post. Bill told me he is not a fan of all the social media and doesn't really get into it.
He is busy with real estate, building equipment and working.
Enjoy the videos and of course, please share!
Below is my short interview with Bill Crawford.
When I was training, his fiance told me was in the garage in the back welding a monolift. It was great to finally chat with Bill and listen to his experiences in training, powerlifting, welding, building equipment and more.....
There was some equipment outside as well where Bill said in the Summer time, people will train a bit out back with sleds, tire flips, strongman training and there were welded dumbbells that I loved to see as well.
