Great words as always. I enjoy your views on the mental toughness, as that is what can always help us prevail in life even when physical strength is gone. I train in and teach the Russian martial art of Systema, as well as provide fitness training to those who want it. In Systema the development of your personal psychology is a huge component because you must know yourself so you have a clear understanding of what you’re capable of so you can push on and expand your abilities.
Thank you for being a voice of consistency and strength in all its forms.
Jesus Systema is awesome, I respect all who push hard and study a combative art at the highest of levels.
Thanks for the good words, brotha!
Jesus, I see you are located in Dunedin, FL.
I am in Sarasota, FL. There are two Systema schools here, which I am sure you know of already.
I trained for a short time with Sonny Puzikas when he used to run the Russian Combat Academy down here. Great stuff!
Frank great to hear you enjoyed training with Sonny. I too started with him back in 2001 to 2002 time frame. He and my instructor, Kenny Gonzalez, had a school together in Riverview before Sonny had the Sarasota location. I know Marc, Alex and Greg the instructors down in Sarasota all very good guys. I hope you can continue to train sometime, if you’re not already doing so. You are more than welcome to come visit me for training as well on Monday and Thursday nights at 7:30 pm. I know it’s a long drive but the invitation is open, just let me know. Also Vladimir Vasiliev will be here in Tampa with us December 4-6 2015. You can get info on that at http://www.tampasystema.weebly.com. I look forward to meeting you someday.
Train well and be good.
Mediocrity is it’s own punishment!
I’m with you on this 100%
