Lots of people often ask for my recommendation on how to set up a home gym, especially when limited on space, funds and time.
Well, as you can see, I just cranked out some nasty Sandbag Complexes with The Underground Sandbag.
Being in a new home myself AND not being close to my gym I'll be setting up a nasty corner of Underground Equipment by simply using a Russian Kettlebell and The Underground Sandbag.
In my office you'll find a Power Wheel, Jump Stretch Band and some Grip Training Devices.
With fresh air and the beach near by I will also by hitting more running and mountain bike riding. My runs will be on the streets, the sand and the trails of the nearby state parks which are HUGE and offer plenty of odd objects for lifting as I make my way through the trails.
I love training with free weights, but, with my lack of space I'll be forgoing any traditional home gym equipment here and will save my powerlifting for my time at The Underground Strength Gym in Edison, NJ.
When you get a chance, try the sandbag complex I cranked in the video above.
1A) Sandbag High Pulls
1B) Sandbag Bent Over Row
1C) Sandbag Zercher Squats
1D) Sandbag Back Squats
1E) Sandbag Reverse Lunges
1F) Sandbag Good Morning
Before I attacked the sandbag complex I cranked a bunch of reps of the clean, press & squat combo.
Give it a shot yourself and get the bucket ready!

Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know about a Nutrition workshop that NYC Endurance is organizing http://www.nycendurance.com?wp_ct=1&whole9Nutrition
Zach,
I only get a chance to view your emails at work on my breaks and I always look forward to try all of them when I get home that night. The problem I am having is that i am unable to view the videos. I do the workout from the text you provide in your commentary but was wondering what weight of sandbag you use for this complex. Thank you for the information. Your website has made me work harder in my workouts trying to be as hardcore as you and your group. Thx
Luis, thanks!
I’ll be sure to detail stuff more through the emails 🙂
Tim B, next time e mail me and I can spread the word rather than you dropping it in a comment, much more authentic and well respected that way 🙂

In love the sandbag. I lug the 100 up the hill on shoulder one arm squats, down change and repeat. I also have become fond of loading. I lift and load into my pick up truck, take down lateral jump the bag and load from the other side. peace from the MA beast.
Zach, LOVE my USB’s. No garage so we train right in the living room. One thing I could recommend is a Bulgarian bag. Bulgarian Bag complexes kick a$$!
Yo Z,
Awesome stuff as usual. How often do you use sandbags with your athletes? And do you have any recommendations on set sandbag weights for say a beginner/intermediate/Beast? (or would you break the weight down into small increments) – Trying to think of the best solution without having to uses lots of different bags (all has to fit in my car for bootcamp training haha) And not sure I want to go down the route of having to reduce/add the weight as this could get time consuming/effecting rest/work rates.. Maybe should of posted this up on forum, anyways catch you soon bro
Nice- I will be doing this tomorrow!
