In this episode of The STRONG Life podcast I interview Matt Wichlinski, the director of performance at The WWE Developmental training center in Florida.

Matt attended one of the earliest Underground Strength Coach Certifications and has always been on the cutting edge of training. He understands training unlike any other coach I've met.
Of course, being super humble, he will never brag, so I'll do the bragging for him.
This episode will give you insight into the Art of Coaching, success lessons Matty has learned through some very tough and extreme times and plenty of training info to fire you up for Life And Lifting.

With Matt, what you see is what you get.
Lots of Coaches tout their awesomeness on the interwebs and paint a facade that isn't truly there.
The TRUTH always prevails and when you are GREAT at training and always tell the truth, GREAT things happen to you.
I'm psyched to see the success Matty is achieving which came through straight up honest, hard work. That is AWESOME.

Cool – really looking forward to this one. Was wondering what Matt’s been up to lately, as he “disappeared” a bit since he got involved with the WWE (no updates to his site, no new vids, etc.)
Matt’s been a big influence to me personally as he was one of the first I youtubed for strength infos (his bulgarian bag instructions – a classic). True badass!
Actually Matt was the reason I found your website as he hosted one of yr certifications at his former gym.
Got tons of his vids and find them still relevant as he teaches and preaches from the front.
Cheers
Sven, like all TOP Coaches, he is BUSY Coaching, doing work….. He also has some rules of not being allowed to share vids of what happens inside WWE unless they are of his own workouts
GREAT, GREAT Guy, not just a Coach, but a GREAT Guy!
Yeah – I believe so.
If you have a guy gulping down a protein shake made of a steak – you know he’s got the right approach!
hahaha,…
Beside all that he’s one helluva athlete. True inspiration.
Coming back to that vid at Matt’s old gym where one dude from New Jersey held a “certification course”. Music was blasting, everybody running around like mad bulls and lifting odd stuff and there’s this intense voice in the background really pushing and bringing the heat. I thought – who the hell is this guy? hahaha,…
Well that was my introduction to the “Underground”.
And the journey is far from over. As much as my training has evolved over the years – the base, the philosophy, the mindset is set. Really looking forward to some awesome times over this summer, the winter and the years to come.
Cheers
Listened to this on iTunes before work, now catching the video portion here at my gym.
The phrase “the consummate athlete ” definitely applies here.
Gonna listen to it on the car, way way better than audio books.
