Underground Strength Coaches Rock Austin, TX

Just a lil' taste of what went down last weekend in Austin, TX, perhaps one of my favorite places I've ever been to, and not just because the town is so kick ass, but because the friendships I've built there are more like brotherhood and family.

BIG thanks to my homie, Jeremy Thiel, for making this happen.

One year ago JT brought 12 of his Coaches to NJ for a specialty USC Cert, where the entire 2 days were dedicated towards their needs and likings. His crew was in such kick ass shape that we went through twice as much info and training as any other group.

The Red & Black Gym was created immediately after JT & his crew returned home from NJ, and, let me tell you, this gym is Underground 110%. He took FAST action & now he has one of the nastiest, Underground gyms I've ever stepped foot in.

This crew was NO different. Must be something in the ATX water, and lemme tell you, the girls from Austin are f**ing LEGIT! These girls climb rope, crank pull ups, handstands, jumps, tire flips and MORE like NObody's BIZ-ness!

This was also the first time I had been on a plane in some 5 or 6 years. You can see what happened to me about 3 years ago..... It was a stressful time for me, VERY stressful.

I can certainly say I'm a lucky guy, but I won't bull shit you.

I MADE my own luck, I hunted and killed my prey, I blasted through brick walls and sprinted up mountains. Many tried to stop me, many hated on me.

I still said F**K it and stuck to the MOST important things in life:

1) Family

2) Friends

3) Integrity

4) Work Ethic

The next USC Cert is in Ft Lauderdale, bring your A Game because that's the ONLY game I accept!

The weekend to change your life is ahead, yours for the taking, or, let opportunity pass you by.

Peace!

PS: Making your own luck isn't easy, every overnight success story has a 10 year history. Remember, you're either the hunter or the hunted, you decide.

Thank you so much for a truly AWESOME seminar! I had a blast and can’t wait to practice and preach your training methods around Texas!

See you in Jersey or Missouri Zach!

  2. Gotta Hunt!

I just started my gym one month ago, things start slow, but through hard work, honesty, and tremendous giving I will have the biz and the life that I want.

You Stick to your core values Zach, that is rare in men in this day and age, much respect for that. Sticking to Integrity, Honor, and Hard Work will ensure a steady stream of clients, and like minded coaches.

  3. Great post-its so true. Everyone wants a short cut and there isn’t one. They see celebrities like Oprah yo-yo up and down the scales thinking ‘how do they do it? How does she slim down to quickly?’ What they should be asking is ‘what is happening inside her body when she has such drastic changes like that?’ I’m surprised she hasn’t had a heart attack seeing as she has damaged the muscles around her heart to a severe amount. Keep up the great posts!

  4. Sweet zach! Good keepsake right there from the weekend.

Chris you the man and great to meet you.

Can i ask what the tune is please?

  5. I hear you about being close to home. Six years ago I made the commitment to stay home and raise my boys while my wife went to work.
Being a competitive strength athlete I had my own training to do, which I did at home. It cost me a lot of money to set up my training room, but worth it to have my boys around me while I train.
In the past I had worked with youth athletes getting them prepared for sports, but with my commitment to raising my boys I decided to be very selective with who I trained. Even with the blank checks offered to me I couldn’t do it because I didn’t feel it.
Seeing you have success without selling out has inspired me to stay the pace. Ya, the money would be nice, but nothing replaces the experience of raising my boys and teaching them the importance of eating right and exercise.
In two years my boys will be in school full time. At that time I will open my gym. I know you preach attacking your dreams, but for now I do every day I get to spend with my boys.
FYI-My boys love the stories I read them from “Wrestle Tough”
