Why Were You Put On This Earth?

by Zach Even - Esh 11 Comments

Special thanks to my friend and Underground Strength Coach, Travis Holley, for sharing this with me. Travis will be at The Austin, TX USC Cert.

I'm not telling you to agree / disagree with this video.

I am asking you a question that was asked to me some years ago..... hopefully forcing you to think a little deeper than your ordinary day.

I've seen and personally experienced lots of ups and downs. The downs came from bad decision making, greed, loss of focus, lack of listening, too much leadership, NOT enough leadership, selfishness, etc..... Many people SAY one thing yet DO another.

Remember, your actions speak so loud I can't hear what you're saying.

Remember, you have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. Listen more and you will see more clearly......

When I write, crank my videos and decide on what direction to take I ask myself how this will benefit / hurt my family, those I love and all of Underground Strength Nation. It keeps things in perspective.

Please take a moment & drop a comment with your thoughts, I'd love to hear them 🙂

Peace

@dustin: NO worries, the blog was prefaced with me telling you to do as you wish / react as you wish.

The “machine men” part, describing soldiers…. well, some of these men are “machines” and prefer to be machines…. I have some serious respect for military in the countries that defend and fight for good….. those that attack through hatred I have NO respect for

Amen brother. A speech in a movie made 72 years ago is just as relevant now as it was then. The forces that enslave us are all around, including the forces created within our own mind. Free yourself from your own demons, and then you begin to free the world.

    Great thought provoking post.

        @admin:

The movie was The Great Dictator made by Charlie Chaplin in 1940. Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same. I guess the Who said it best, “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”

That sent chills down my spine, and a tear to my eye! Beauty are the words spoken, but lost when action is not taken. People try to fix the world, but fail to fix themselves first. Trying to fix a problem with a broken tool. You may be able to hammer the nail of pain, but it won’t be straight, or as deep as it needs to be. “Good enough!” Nothing is just, “Good Enough.” Just enough of a husband, father or friend. Just what you need to be, or what is expected of you.
Zach, this rocked me deep! As a person that asked himself that question over 12 years ago I am in a constant state of self discovery. I walked away from a secure major with a good paying job to persue a degree in Philosophy. When people asked “What are you going to do with that degree?” I answered, “Find myself”
Although I am still working on “Me” I have the tools to become better.
    Thanks for this!

Not to get political but couldn’t agree with you more on Obama. The attitude of this country is heading us down a path towards mediocracy.

At the same time though, I love what Dave Ramsey says. Basically he says if you are sitting at home hoping for one political party or another to make your life better there’s nothing that can be done for you.

Although your strenght & fitness wisdom is great, I also like the business side too. You look at guys like you, Jay Ferruggia, Dave Tate, and I’m sure many others but you have all made something of YOURSELF.

You all continue to evolve every day and don’t wait for someone to make things better for you. You make it happen and hustle every day to get better.

Nobody out there is going to do that for you.
