Training for Warriors

Martin gave me a little taste of a simple Hurricane Workout as his fighters were close to fight night.

I test drove 1 round of the Hurricane and it was rough, even with the light weights.

Running on a treadmill felt a bit awkward as I am used to hills, streets, grass and trails.

Look how calm these guys stay during the intense training and watch me get my ass kicked :)

Many have asked about Martin’s protocols for training MMA fighters and other combat athletes. Obviously, to describe it in a Blog post is impossible.

Those who are serious and hungry to learn will invest in his books, listed below.

Drop a comment below with your questions and thoughts, looking forward to hearing about your training experiences.

Zach –

I really love the fusion aspect of this workout. Combined with the get in/ get out ass kicking, this is a solid shock to the body in a confined time period. The best part of the last two days though may have been the comments made on the side. The talk about not beating the fighters up too much pre workout and just the general tapering of abuse to achieve a max performance at a predictable time is pure gold.

Beast! I love it. Going to use some of those protocol ideas in a workout today (outdoors, thank goodness).

i like it!

martin is the man and so are you!

it’s good to mix in with your athletes here and there.

show em you know what you’re talking about as well and make em know you got what it takes to train just as hard as they do.

Nice Zach

Theses types of workouts are wicked. I use them alott in the summer for my training. The heat makes them even harder.

Keep leading from the front, Zach!

Love training like a warrior. Just bought me a sledgehammer and got an ol’ tire. Now I can add that to the conditioning mix.

Lately, I’ve been using jump rope, heavy bag, farmers walks, and various circuit stuff for conditioning.. so it will be cool to add the sledge.
