STRONG Life Podcast ep. 188 with my Dude, John Welbourn from Power Athlete.
This episode covers little in the realm of training / strength & conditioning and instead, Johnny & I chat about the meaning of life and lessons we've learned as we "get older".
I gotta tell ya, I could talk with Johnny ALL day without stopping, very few guys I connect with who keep it real like Welbourn. In fact, we did chat all night in Philly a few years back and unfortunately, it was no recorded due to good ol' tech problems. I wrote about it here.
Prepare for your brain to explode or melt during this episode, I'm not sure which will happen, perhaps both!!??
I need to crush these podcasts more often with John.
Also, apologies for the lack of audio intros lately. I can't figure out how to edit this crap and it just isn't inspiring to do so either. Technology, video editing, audio editing - I am not put on this earth to be an editor, so when I can't figure it out, I have no desire to waste my time on a flashy intro.
Finding someone to help with tech isn't fun either. They are great at helping in the beginning and then they disappear.
Reminds me how winning in life is EASY, you just gotta keep showing up as most people quit, usually for no reason at all.
Enjoy the show and do me a solid, share with a friend and leave a 5 star review. Or, don't.

Most people getting information from the internet are doing so by “swimming in the swallows”. They swim all around checking out the landscape but do not dive deep. This is how the internet is designed. As an external storage hard-drive to replace humanity’s need to memorize information. This is why no-one will/can remember anything. (This is examined in the book “the swallows: what the internet is doing to our brains”). But there is hope. If you do the deep work & spend time becoming a master of some type of specialization you should be rewarded for the work. (This is examined in the book “deep work”).
Robert,
The key is to make the internet work for you not against you.
This takes discipline and habit building, it takes work!
You’re right, MOST are not ready or willing!
