To power clean or not?
THAT is the question.
The answer of yes or no as well as HOW to Power Clean will vary depending on MANY scenarios that I discuss below in the videos on my own & with Travis Mash.
SOME of those factors that will influence the how & why behind the Power Clean Are:
- College / High School setting where you KNOW you are with those kids for years or long term for the majority of the training
- Independent Strength Coach where athletes come / go for countless reasons & there is often a lack of continuity in training as well as loss of strength & skill
- Time available with the athlete
There are many sides to the coin and beyond the yes / no of power cleans, HOW should a power clean for an athlete vs a weightlifter?

What is MOST important, as Travis & I discussed near the end is that we are getting the athletes stronger, faster, tougher and more confident.
There are MANY ways to achieve the end result.
I don’t argue about the power cleans. I love them and we use them at The Underground Strength Gym.
As I always say, I NEVER discriminate against the MANY methods we can use to help athletes achieve moe success. Being close minded or too arrogant to evolve will hurt the kids, not help them.
The kids are # 1. It’s ALL about them, NOT your ego or my ego. #TRUTH!
