There’s ALWAYS Someone Better, Tougher & Stronger

Underground Strength Challenge: 4/23/2012

In life, sport, business.... you name it, there is ALWAYS someone better than you. There is always someone doing the little extras to get ahead of you.

That someone might be your competition in life, sport or business.

Are you doing ALL the little things, ALL the extra things, ALL the right things to get ahead of the competition, and, even more, to get ahead of yourself? Are you bettering yourself?

If not, that person doing the little extras might be the person who puts you in second place.... puts you out of business....

Often times we think we have it tough when deep down, we don't realize we are living a life of luxury.

We think we're working hard, until someone comes along and kicks your ass in your chosen sport or business.

  1. Great story from the vid. I totally agree – its those small things that count up to big things (once you reach a certain level). From now on, I’ll never take a warm shower again. Or even better – I’ll just never shower at all. Now that’s tough – hahaha…

    Just kidding, …

    Here’s what I did today:
I went for a decent run. Threw in some sprints and uphill sprints. On the way I passed a river that’s always been there. It never occured to me that you could actually put in a good workout with the stones lying around the shore. So I went down to the river and did a small workout there:

    5×5:
-lifting a heavy stone to shoulder
-smashing smaller stone into sand (same movement like sledgehammering a tire), fast a possible
    -pushups, fast as possible
-bent-over-rows with smaller stones for gripstrength

After that I ran on and man was I tired. Came home, took a warm/cold shower and felt like a million bucks. In two days I’ll be down at the river again and I don’t care what all the other joggers will think of me, …
    😉

You don’t need a fancy gym or even weights to become a badass. In fact I now think the opposite is the case. Use your environment to get strong. That’s what all the animals do, and most of them will kick your butt when it comes down between them or you, …

Climb a tree as fast as possible, do pullups from branch to branch, lift stones, throw stones, do animal movements, run, swim, handwalk, handjump, do pushups in all variations, wrestle (its fun!), lift odd objects, box, jump stairs, …

There are NO limits. And when it comes down – you’ll just kick ass. There’s no way a pure bodybuilder can come even close to your athleticism and situational strength and endurance.
    Have a good one, …
    Sven, Italy

    1. Sven, thanks my brutha, from Italy! I will visit Italy one day!

I love the REAL World training of stones and outdoors, VERY impressive!!!

Check these stone lifting videos for more ideas, brutha: https://zacheven-esh.com/back-to-my-roots/

      enjoy!

      1. Zach, very cool footage. You rok!

That’s exactly what I meant. Only got 30min for a workout? No problem – get outside and check your environment and get to work! Raining, snowing? Hell yea, even better – bring it on!
        😉

        Here’s some other cool shit:

-endurance: go underwater swimming; put a gasmask on & do some kettlebell moves (weird but what a workout!)
-gripstrenght & overall athleticism: go windsurf without a trapez
-conditioning: go surfing, any sport in the water (ever tried waterpolo? Killer!)
-overall training: go sparing with a superior boxer, nothing will ever be the same after that!

There’s just so much one can do – possibilities are endless.

        1. That’s some REAL world training shyt right there!! BOOM!
