9 STRONG Life & Training Tips

I'm about to chow down on some steak and wanted to share with you some training & STRONG Life tips to put to use.

In no particular order, here we go:

1) Talk less and work more. Lots of entitled people out there. Don't be one of them.

STFU and lift heavy and hard.

2) If you're fat and weak, that is NO accident.

You eat like shyt and train like shyt.

Training is NOT as complex as people make it.

3) You can't go wrong with Calisthenics, Carries, Sleds and Sprints.

Don't ask for a substitution for sleds.

Buy a sled or make one from a car tire.

That's how I started using sleds over 20 years ago. I went to the tire yard, got a front end tractor tire, drilled a hole in there for an eye bolt and purchased tow straps from a towing company.

It's interesting how 20 years ago there were barely any strength training companies to buy this stuff from, today it's easier than ever before which is likely part of the problem. Easy does NOT help anyone!

4) Sometimes, you gotta train like a prison inmate.

Yesterday one of our guys did 10 x 10 of Curls and Push Ups. When was the last time you pushed the volume on calisthenics? Curls? Benching?

Everyone is so worried about training so perfectly that they never train with enough intensity.

5) Stop over analyzing the Work. Listen to this short audio clip:

6) Get time for yourself.

This might mean waking up early before anyone in your house wakes up or
taking a hike, a bike ride, etc and getting away from the noise in this world.

Give yourself time to think. It is powerful.

7) Do not waste a second of your time arguing with people on the internet.

Some people are so negative, they only feel better when they share negativity with others.

F--K them. Move on.

8) Work your Legs HARD.

Do the hard shyt.

Squats, Deadlifts, Lunges, Jumps, Hill Sprints, Jumping Rope.

I saw Jim Wendler sharing how he walked 1,000 flights of stairs while on vacation with a weight vest.

He also mentioned this.....

9) Work Your Lungs.

The books I've read from early 1900s and mid 1900s had a overall balanced approach to strength and general fitness. Many of these men who were extremely strong would also go out and run on the regular.

Louie Simmons and Russians coined this GPP or General Physical Preparedness.

This means go out and MOVE.

Train like a Farmer.

Carry, Climb, Ride your bike, etc.

I plan on getting to the beach to run on the sand.
