STRONG Life Podcast 173, here we GO!

Have you ever felt like you're in a place where you simply do NOT fit in? I've been there before with both training and life / career.

This episode brought me back to my early days of training athletes from my garage and eventually my first location. 98% of the people that knew me or knew what I was doing all said You can't do that! I was able to build a 6 figure warehouse gym while teaching full time and running my gym with part time hours.

There will ALWAYS be the naysayers. You're fired up & motivated to achieve and create change but those around you don't want to hear it. In fact, they try to bring you down. I've been there and still am there. It's thr way of the world when you're around the WRONG people.

You want nothing to do with "normal" goals, "normal" training and overall "normal" living.

Normal is the same as average. There is enough Mediocrity running wild, people like us don't need to hop on that band wagon.

This episode of The STRONG Life Podcast brought in questions on how to stay the course when those around you are like the crabs in the bucket, pulling you down every single day.

Basics for the WIN!

My training has evolved as I have evolved, both physically and mentally.

If you refuse to evolve and become "that guy" who is stuck in We always did it that way! - You will NOT improve. What used to work does not continue to work.

Training requires change and improvement, as does business and life.

The way I run my business had to evolve. As did nutrition, sleep, lifestyle.

Be open to change because without change, how do we grow? We don't grow!

    The retro YORK barbell ad is amazing. Warren Buffet, back in the day, could hardly have made a better investment than 555 lbs (including 2 x 100’s) barbell from YORK for $99!

    1. Amazing how cheap that is compared to now! Finding those old deep dish York plates is tough! I have a pair of them, I’ve seen pairs on ebay selling for over $1K!
