Episode # 56: Blasting with Underground Bodybuilding

share

Training heavy on a weekend and amped up to move some heavy iron.

I love the iron and have always been drawn to it.

Machines never excited me to kill it, rusty barbells and dumbbells always felt best in my hands.

ย

Other things I love to rip into:

- sandbags

- tractor tires

- anvils

- thick ropes

- stones

- Russian Kettlebells

Hardcore gyms might be dying, but hardcore training is alive and well in edison, NJ at The Underground!

Tell me where and how you're keeping it hardcore, old school and Underground by posting your comments below.

Kill it!

  1. Zach,

My backyard looks like a big playground. There’s three tires, some homemade kettlebells, a homemade anaconda rope hanging from a pecan tree, a sledgehammer, a homemade sled made from an old BBQ pit lid, chains, a pullup bar, some smaller ropes laying around, large stumps for carrying, and a bunch of other hardcore home made stuff here and there. When I train my clients we use all this stuff and sometimes take my olympic set outside and tear shiz up! We finish up with mud on our clothes from the sweat and dirt getting into the mix. I love this! My neighbors just watch in fear. Hardcore baby! Be Scary!

  2. just purchased Enter The Kettlebell and my first KB I am pumped

  3. I like to keep it simple alot of bodyweight training with TRX Straps Goal Post Pullups Leg Raises Picknic Table Lifts Park Bench Declines LeapFrogs Jumping Sqats-Lunges at age 50 I have always enjoyed the Iron but with Racing Triathlon (Iron Man Distance) my time is limited and the strength training is as important if not more than the cardio.I believe at my age the strength traing enhances the quality of life and the cardio will save your life.

  7. Hi Zacheven-esh,
I like the bench press that you have done and it is really giving me an encouragement.
What do you recommend between the close grip and the wide grip for the better results.Ilike your equipments but they are rarely found here in my world but I will try myself to get them.I want to grow big body muscles and this can only be done if you keep on posting me more videos of that staff.Once again Zacheven-esh keep it up.
