I’ve become stronger in mind AND body since becoming a Dad. Something about being a family man pushes me and other Dads to become stronger than ever before.

Not all Dads do this, some fall off the wagon and become lazy, fat pieces of sh*t and have a million and one excuses as to why they have become weak.

In fact, it has happened countless times, where some fat ass Dad says to me, “I used to look like you. Then I got married, had kids….. You’ll see, it’ll happen to you.”

The fact of the matter is, NO ONE is just like me. I’ve gotten up well before the sun was shining to lift heavy weights, or, have stayed up till midnight to get in a lift. I don’t make excuses, I make things happen.

Check out a select few Deadly Dads Deadliftin. We ain’t your ordinary crew of Dads, that’s for damn sure!

I have been getting back to my roots lately, even with my time crunched workouts, I’m hitting the underground bodybuilding methods and it’s paying off big time.

It’s amazing how quickly you can add muscle and strength when you’re putting together the right formula.

Most of the time, as you know, my workouts are rockin’ at warp speed.

I’ve been finding ways to mix bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman and gymnastics type movements into one pot.

I guess you always go back to your roots :)

I was looking at my current strength on certain lifts, such as squats and benching and saw that my numbers were VERY big back when I was bodybuilding.

I squatted 455 for sets of 6 – 10, squatted 315 for 20 – 25 reps, squatted 225 for 45 – 50 reps. My bench was at 275 for sets of 6 – 8. But, now I am deadlifting 550 lbs, farmer walks with 200 lbs per hand, dragging sleds that weigh almost 400 lbs and much more.

Now the brutal combination of past and current knowledge is meshing together.

Just making sure you’re deadlifting….if not, maybe this pic will motivate you.

Lift big weights off the ground, lift them overhead, pull them from the ground up, push them and pull them….squat them….

Get to work.

Time for some action.

Time to do it your way, finally, not anyone else’s way.

Seriously. Stop doing what you see everyone else doing. Stop copying the concentration curls, the lat pull downs, the smith machine presses….everything performed seated of course.

Every workout does NOT have to be the perfect balance of push / pull, or upper / lower body work.

Who ever said that everything must be in total harmony and balance is full of it. Ask the guys in the pen about balance and instead they’ll tell you about benching, curling and doing sit ups every single day. They’re also stronger than the majority of gym goers I have ever run into!

Breaking the rules is what leads to success very often in performance. Notice I didn’t say all the time, absolutes are impossible to come by.

I’m talking human performance and business performance. Not the type of legal rules that can put you in jail so stop making excuses before we even get you to break ONE rule.

STOP training like a pussy, plain and simple.

It’s time to rebel, to break the rules and to train like a Gladiator.

This is how Underground training was birthed….
