The Problem With Strength Training Advice On The Internet
Here's a little news flash that will hurt many people's feelings: Just because you see it on YouTube doesn't mean it's what ALWAYS happens in that person's training. Just because the guy behind the camera is ripped doesn't mean he knows more about training than the other Coach. The internet has given us opportunity to learn as much as we want, not all of it good and not all of it accurate. The opposite holds true as well, there is some amazing and powerful information out there that was once … [Read more...]

The Iron NEVER Lies
It was just me and my best Dude. My son. We were going out to eat that night with our friends and I remembered what kind of person I was last time I missed my workout. I wasn't the most pleasant person to be around, let's put it that way. I knew if I could get in a few deadlifts and some calisthenics I would tame my inner animal for at least the next few hours. My son was with me and we had less than 20 minutes to spare. He went into the office and turned on the TV. It reminded me of Henry … [Read more...]

If you do, then we can make it happen. But the truth is that MOST don't desire the simplicity. They crave the fancy. They crave the fads. How I Use QUICK Bodyweight Workouts for Added Strength AND Size
The power of bodyweight training has always been evident to me. I began doing push ups and pull ups on an almost daily basis when I was finishing 8th grade and was 13 1/2 years young. At age 14 I was doing 20 pull ups with ease and have been doing over 20 pull ups in a row even while weighing 220 lbs. When in doubt, I go with bodyweight exercises. They never hurt me or make me feel too old. They never make my joints feel like shit either. Thank you, Sir, may I have another! About 7 … [Read more...]
Is DAILY Bodyweight Training Effective & Safe For Muscle & Strength Gains?
This started all the way back in 1989. Every time I passed a pull up bar or anything I could grab on to over head, I banged out pull ups. This became a daily practice. Same for push ups. Push Ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guess what happened? … [Read more...]
